Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror.

因为听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子看自己本来的面目，

因为只听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子观看自己本来的面目，

因为只听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子观看自己本来的面目，

因为人听道而不行道，就像照镜子一样，

因为人若只作听道的人，不作行道的人，他就像一个人对着镜子看自己本来的面貌，

因为，如果有人是这话语的听者，而不是实行者，这个人就像人对着镜子观看自己生来的面貌，

因為聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子看自己本來的面目，

因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，

因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，

因為人聽道而不行道，就像照鏡子一樣，

因為人若只是聽道、而不實行，就像一個人用鏡子察看自己生來的面貌。

因為，如果有人是這話語的聽者，而不是實行者，這個人就像人對著鏡子觀看自己生來的面貌，

蓋聞道而不行者、猶人觀本來面目於鏡、

聞而不行者、譬人以鏡鑒面、

蓋聞道而不行者、譬諸人以鏡觀己之本來面目、

若是之人、猶如以鑑自照、

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror

Suppose someone listens to the word but doesn’t do what it says. Then they are like a person who looks at their face in a mirror.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.

For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face in a mirror.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:

For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror.

But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great!”

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can his faith save him?If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily foodand one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?In the same way faith, if it doesn’t have works, is dead by itself.But someone will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe— and they shudder.Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.And in the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by a different route?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

So My people come to you in crowds, sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Although they express love with their mouths, their hearts pursue dishonest profit.Yes, to them you are like a singer of love songs who has a beautiful voice and plays skillfully on an instrument. They hear your words, but they don’t obey them.

I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them:

“ As for the word you spoke to us in the name of Yahweh, we are not going to listen to you!

The scribes and Pharisees were watching Him closely, to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a charge against Him.
