Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment.

Do not become teachers in large numbers, my brothers, since you know that we who are teachers will incur a stricter judgment.

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgment,

My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, because you know that we will be judged more strictly.

Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. (niv)

“ The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (niv)

“ Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. (niv)

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. (niv)

For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. (niv)

And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle— I am telling the truth, I am not lying— and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. (niv)

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, (niv)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (niv)

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. (niv)

It is the Lord who judges me.Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (niv)

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen( who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. (niv)

As for the man who does this, whoever he may be, may the Lord remove him from the tents of Jacob— even though he brings an offering to the Lord Almighty. (niv)
