兄弟中多有好為人師者、是亦謬甚。應知為師者、責任最重。

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment.

Do not become teachers in large numbers, my brothers, since you know that we who are teachers will incur a stricter judgment.

Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.

desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.

And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

But you, do not be called‘ Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle— I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying— a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

“ So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.When I say to the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

In fact, I do not even judge myself.For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.

“ Judge not, that you be not judged.For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

“ Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:When I say to the wicked,‘ You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples,“ Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob The man who does this, being awake and aware, Yet who brings an offering to the Lord of hosts!

Jesus answered and said to him,“ Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?
