一艘大船在遭遇暴風吹襲時，船身雖然龐大，但舵手只要操縱一個小小的舵，就能隨意駕駛它。

看哪，船只虽然甚大，又被大风催逼，只用小小的舵，就随着掌舵的意思转动。

再看船只，虽然甚大，又被强风猛吹，只用小小的舵就随着掌舵的意思转动。

一艘大船在遭遇暴风吹袭时，船身虽然庞大，但舵手只要操纵一个小小的舵，就能随意驾驶它。

试看，船只虽然甚大，又被狂风催逼，舵手只用小小的舵，就可以随意操纵。

再看船只，虽然它那么大，又被狂风吹逐，但是无论舵手的意图想去哪里，它都能被小小的舵来驾驭。

看哪，船隻雖然甚大，又被大風催逼，只用小小的舵，就隨着掌舵的意思轉動。

再看船隻，雖然甚大，又被強風猛吹，只用小小的舵就隨着掌舵的意思轉動。

你看，就是船隻雖那麼大，又被強硬的風催逼着，也能被小小的舵所調導，向掌舵者的意思所願去的方向走。

再看船隻，雖然它那麼大，又被狂風吹逐，但是無論舵手的意圖想去哪裡，它都能被小小的舵來駕馭。

試觀諸舟如彼其大、且為狂風所盪、運以小舵、則隨舵師所欲、

雖有巨舟、為狂風動盪、而小舵得以運轉、隨舟子指揮、

舟雖大、且為狂風飄蕩、而小舵得以運轉、隨舵師所欲、

舟身雖大、且為暴風所驅、而舵師宴然把一小舵、亦能駕駛自如。

Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

And how about ships? They are very big. They are driven along by strong winds. But they are steered by a very small rudder. It makes them go where the captain wants to go.

Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong.

And consider ships: Though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

Look at the ships too: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are nevertheless directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot determines.

Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.

Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whither the impulse of the steersman willeth.

And consider ships: Though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.

祂一聲令下，狂風大作，巨浪滔天。他們的船隻忽而被拋向半空，忽而落入深淵，他們嚇得面無人色，東倒西歪，如同醉漢，束手無策。

然而，耶和華使海面起了狂風，滔天巨浪幾乎把船打成碎片。

可是出發不久，便遇到從島上颳來的猛烈的東北風，船被颳得失去控制，我們只好任船隨風漂流。船沿著一個叫高達的小島的背風面前進，大家好不容易才控制住救生船。水手把救生船拉上甲板後，又用繩索加固船身。因為怕船會在賽耳底擱淺，於是收起船帆，任船漂流。第二天，風浪依然猛烈，他們開始把貨物拋進海裡。第三天，他們又親手把船上的用具也拋掉了。一連好幾天都看不到太陽、星辰，風浪肆虐，我們完全放棄了得救的指望。這時大家已經多日沒有進食，保羅站在他們當中說：「各位當初如果肯聽我勸，不離開克里特，就不會遭受這些損失了。現在我勸大家放心，你們無人會喪命，只是這艘船保不住了。因為昨天晚上，我所歸屬、所事奉的上帝差遣天使站在我身旁，對我說，『保羅，不用怕，你一定會站在凱撒面前，上帝也會保全所有和你同船的人。』所以請各位放心，我深信上帝所說的話必然會成就。只是我們一定會在某個島上擱淺。」第十四天的晚上，我們在亞得里亞海漂來漂去。到了午夜時分，水手都覺得離陸地不遠了，就探測水深，結果約三十六米深，再往前一點，只有二十七米左右。他們怕會觸礁，就從船尾拋下四個錨，暫停前進，期待天亮。水手們想要棄船逃生，假裝要從船頭拋錨，卻偷偷地把救生船放到海裡。保羅對百夫長和士兵們說：「除非他們留下來，否則你們都活不了！」士兵聽了，就砍斷繩索，讓救生船漂走。到了黎明時分，保羅勸大家吃東西，說：「你們提心吊膽、不思飲食已經十四天了。我勸你們吃點東西，好活下去，你們必定毫髮無損。」保羅說完後拿起餅，當眾感謝上帝，然後掰開吃。於是大家都振作起來，吃了些東西。船上共有二百七十六人。吃飽了以後，為了要減輕船的重量，他們把麥子拋進海裡。

忽然，湖面上狂風大作，波濤洶湧，船快要被巨浪吞沒，耶穌卻在睡覺。
