「你們這瞎眼領路的有禍了！你們說：『凡指着殿起誓的，這算不得甚麼；只是凡指着殿中金子起誓的，他就該謹守。』你們這無知瞎眼的人哪，甚麼是大的？是金子呢？還是叫金子成聖的殿呢？你們又說：『凡指着壇起誓的，這算不得甚麼；只是凡指着壇上禮物起誓的，他就該謹守。』你們這瞎眼的人哪，甚麼是大的？是禮物呢？還是叫禮物成聖的壇呢？所以，人指着壇起誓，就是指着壇和壇上一切所有的起誓；人指着殿起誓，就是指着殿和那住在殿裏的起誓；人指着天起誓，就是指着神的寶座和那坐在上面的起誓。

若有人飢餓，可以在家裏先吃，免得你們聚會，自己取罪。其餘的事，我來的時候再安排。

最要緊的是彼此切實相愛，因為愛能遮掩許多的罪。

我的弟兄們，不要多人作師傅，因為曉得我們要受更重的判斷。原來我們在許多事上都有過失；若有人在話語上沒有過失，他就是完全人，也能勒住自己的全身。
