刈爾田之工值、爾以詭譎不給、有聲籲呼、且刈者之呼號、已入萬軍之主之耳矣、

穫爾田之傭、不給其值、則籲呼升聞於萬有之主、

穫爾田之傭、爾不給其值、其值髣髴有聲呼籲、刈穫者之怨聲、聞於撒罷阿特主耳矣、

工人為爾收穫莊稼、爾竟欺之、而不予工資。此所欠之工資、亦將為工人鳴冤、且其聲已上達萬軍主宰之耳矣。

Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of armies.

Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

Behold, the hire of the laborers who mowed your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth out: and the cries of them that reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

“‘ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“‘ Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight. (niv)

“ So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty. “ Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them for their labor. (niv)
