伯善與其鄉里之居民、他納與其鄉里之居民、多珥與其鄉里之居民、以伯蓮與其鄉里之居民、米吉多與其鄉里之居民、瑪拿西人皆未逐之、於是迦南人執意居於斯地、

以烏陵與土明置於胸牌內、使亞倫至耶和華前時服於膺、如是、亞倫於耶和華前、可常服以色列族決斷之物於膺、○

主遺留此諸族、以試未曾知迦南戰事之以色列人、欲使以色列歷代、學而知前所未識之戰事、所遺留之族、即非利士五伯、居利巴嫩山之迦南人、西頓人、希未人、自巴力黑們至哈末、遺留此諸族、以試以色列人、視其能聽從主所託摩西諭其祖之命否、以色列人竟居於迦南人、西頓人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之間、娶其女為妻、以女嫁其子、並崇拜其諸神、○
