伯善與其鄉里之居民、他納與其鄉里之居民、多珥與其鄉里之居民、以伯蓮與其鄉里之居民、米吉多與其鄉里之居民、瑪拿西人皆未逐之、於是迦南人執意居於斯地、

But Manasseh did not drive out the people of Beth Shan or Taanach or Dor or Ibleam or Megiddo and their surrounding settlements, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that land.

But the tribe of Manasseh didn’t drive out the people of Beth Shan. They didn’t drive out the people of Taanach, Dor, Ibleam and Megiddo. And they didn’t drive out the people of the settlements that are around those cities either. That’s because the Canaanites had made up their minds to continue living in that land.

Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages, for the Canaanites persisted in dwelling in that land.

The tribe of Manasseh failed to drive out the people living in Beth shan, Taanach, Dor, Ibleam, Megiddo, and all their surrounding settlements, because the Canaanites were determined to stay in that region.

At that time Manasseh failed to take possession of Beth-shean and Taanach and their surrounding villages, or the residents of Dor, Ibleam, and Megiddo and their surrounding villages; the Canaanites were determined to stay in this land.

But Manasseh did not take possession of Beth shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages; so the Canaanites persisted in living in this land.

However, Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages; for the Canaanites were determined to dwell in that land.

And Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth- shean and its towns, nor of Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

At that time Manasseh failed to take possession of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the residents of Dor and its villages, or the residents of Ibleam and its villages, or the residents of Megiddo and its villages; the Canaanites refused to leave this land.

Neither did Manasseh drive out[ the inhabitants of] Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

The men of Manasseh did not conquer Beth Shan, Taanach, or their surrounding towns. Nor did they conquer the people living in Dor, Ibleam, Megiddo or their surrounding towns. The Canaanites managed to remain in those areas.

Manasseh didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its towns, nor Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

玛拿西在以萨迦和亚设境内，有伯‧善和所属的乡镇，以伯莲和所属的乡镇，多珥和所属乡镇的居民；还有隐‧多珥和所属乡镇的居民，他纳和所属乡镇的居民，米吉多和所属乡镇的居民，共三个山冈。只是玛拿西的子孙不能赶出这些城镇的居民，迦南人仍坚持住在那地。以色列人强盛的时候，就叫迦南人做苦工，没有把他们全然赶走。

懒惰不肯为耶和华做事的，必受诅咒；禁止刀剑不见血的，必受诅咒。

他们不照耶和华所吩咐的灭绝外邦人，反倒与列国相交，学习他们的行为，

扫罗和百姓却怜惜亚甲，爱惜上好的牛、羊、牛犊、羔羊，以及一切美物，不肯灭绝。但是凡看不上眼和没有价值的，他们尽都杀了。

“君王都来争战；那时迦南诸王在米吉多水旁的他纳争战，却得不到掳掠的银钱。

又从玛拿西半支派的地业中给了他纳和城的郊外，以及迦特‧临门和城的郊外，共两座城。

约书亚死后，以色列人求问耶和华说：“我们中间谁当首先上去攻打迦南人，与他们争战呢？”

不可跟他们和他们的神明立约。

当耶和华—你的神把他们交给你，你击杀他们的时候，你要完全消灭他们，不可与他们立约，也不可怜惜他们。
