今日耶和華以爾付於我手、我將擊爾、斬爾首級、以爾眾之尸骸、給於飛鳥走獸、使天下億兆咸知、以色列族有上帝。亦使斯大會知耶和華救人、非藉劍戟、其使人獲勝者、乃任意以行、將付爾於我手。

必使大蜂起於爾前、以驅希未人、迦南人、赫人。一年中我不逐之盡、免土地荒蕪、野獸孳生。

如彼曰、爾可來此、我則前往、耶和華將以之付於我手、此可為徵。

耶和華諭約書亞曰、勿懼、我以此軍悉付於爾、無一能禦爾者。約書亞自吉甲終夜以行、猝然侵敵。耶和華使敵潰亂於以色列族前、在基遍降以大災、以色列族追之、至伯和倫岡、擊之在亞西加馬基大。

既至王前、王曰、米該亞歟、我欲攻基列之喇末、行止若何。曰、往可獲勝、蓋耶和華必使彼敗於王手。
