Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the Lord and no longer served him,

Once again the Israelites did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. They served gods that were named Baal. They served female gods that were named Ashtoreth. They worshiped the gods of Aram and Sidon. They served the gods of Moab and Ammon. They also worshiped the gods of the Philistines. The Israelites deserted the Lord. They didn’t serve him anymore.

The people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they forsook the Lord and did not serve him.

Again the Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight. They served the images of Baal and Ashtoreth, and the gods of Aram, Sidon, Moab, Ammon, and Philistia. They abandoned the Lord and no longer served him at all.

Then the Israelites again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD. They worshiped the Baals and the Ashtoreths, the gods of Aram, Sidon, and Moab, and the gods of the Ammonites and the Philistines. They abandoned the LORD and did not worship him.

Then the sons of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; so they abandoned the Lord and did not serve Him.

但各族的人仍然製造自己的神像，安放在撒瑪利亞人所造各邱壇的廟中；各族人在他們所居住的城市都這樣作。巴比倫人做了疏割．比訥像，古他人做了匿甲像，哈馬人做了亞示瑪像，亞瓦人做了匿哈和他珥他像，西法瓦音人用火焚燒自己的兒女，獻給西法瓦音的神亞得米勒和亞拿米勒。

非利士人搶去神的約櫃，把它抬進大袞廟，放在大袞神像的旁邊。

以笏死後，以色列人又行了耶和華看為惡的事。

有一天，亞哈謝在撒瑪利亞，從樓上的窗戶掉下來，他就病了；於是他差派使者，對他們說：“你們去求問以革倫的神巴力．西卜，我這個病到底能否復原？”但耶和華的使者對提斯比人以利亞說：“你動身上去迎著撒瑪利亞王的使者，對他們說：‘你們去求問以革倫的神巴力．西卜，是因為以色列中沒有神嗎？

“因為我的子民作了兩件惡事，就是離棄了我這活水的泉源，為自己鑿了池子，是破裂不能存水的池子。

以色列人行了耶和華看為惡的事，去事奉眾巴力；他們離棄了領他們出埃及的耶和華、他們列祖的神，去跟從別的神，就是他們周圍各族的神，敬拜他們，惹耶和華發怒。他們離棄了耶和華，去事奉巴力和亞斯他錄。耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，就把他們交在搶掠的人手中，他們就搶掠他們；他又把他們完全交在他們四圍的仇敵手中，以致他們在仇敵面前再不能站立得住。

他們又事奉外族人的偶像，這就成了他們的網羅。

你在各路口建造高壇，使你的美麗變為可憎的，又向每一個過路的人張開兩腿，多行淫亂。你也與放縱情慾的鄰居埃及人行淫，多行淫亂，惹我發怒。

亞哈犯了尼八的兒子耶羅波安所犯的罪，還以為是小事。他又娶了西頓王謁巴力的女兒耶洗別作妻子，去服事巴力，敬拜巴力。

以色列人又行了耶和華看為惡的事，耶和華就把他們交在非利士人手中四十年。

耶和華對摩西說：“看哪，你快要和你的列祖長眠了；這人民要起來，在他們所要去的地方，在那地的人中，與外族人的神行邪淫，離棄我，破壞我與他們所立的約。

他們丟棄耶和華他們神的一切吩咐，為自己做了兩個牛犢的鑄像，又做亞舍拉，並且敬拜天上的萬象和服事巴力；

以色列人又行了耶和華看為惡的事；耶和華就把他們交在米甸人手裡七年。

非利士人的領袖聚集起來，要給他們的神大袞獻大祭，並且歡樂慶祝；他們說：“我們的神把我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。”

但耶書崙肥胖了，就踢跳，‘你肥胖了，你粗壯了，你飽滿了，’他離棄了造他的神，輕看了救他的磐石。

他向擊敗了他的大馬士革的神獻祭，說：“亞蘭王的神幫助了他們，我也向它們獻祭，使它們也幫助我。”它們卻使他和以色列人滅亡。
