For three hundred years Israel occupied Heshbon, Aroer, the surrounding settlements and all the towns along the Arnon. Why didn’t you retake them during that time?

For 300 years Israel has been living in Heshbon and Aroer. They have been living in the settlements around those cities. They have also been living in all the towns along the Arnon River. Why didn’t you take those places back during that time?

While Israel lived in Heshbon and its villages, and in Aroer and its villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, 300 years, why did you not deliver them within that time?

“ Israel has been living here for 300 years, inhabiting Heshbon and its surrounding settlements, all the way to Aroer and its settlements, and in all the towns along the Arnon River. Why have you made no effort to recover it before now?

While Israel lived three hundred years in Heshbon and Aroer and their surrounding villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, why didn’t you take them back at that time?

Israel has been living in Heshbon and its nearby towns, in Aroer and its nearby towns, and in all the cities along the Arnon for three hundred years! Why did you not reclaim them during that time?

从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥和谷中的城，直到基列，没有一座城是高得我们不能攻取的；耶和华—我们的上帝把它们全都交给我们了。

我们把这些都毁灭了，像从前待希实本王西宏一样，毁灭各城的男人、女人、孩子；

约书亚和这些王作战了很长的一段日子。

陀拉作以色列的士师二十三年。他死了，葬在沙密。陀拉以后有基列人睚珥兴起，作以色列的士师二十二年。

还有在希实本作王的亚摩利王西宏的诸城，直到亚扪人的边界；

以色列人夺取这里所有的城镇，就住在亚摩利人的城镇中，包括希实本和所属的一切乡镇。希实本是亚摩利王西宏的首都；西宏曾与先前的摩押王交战，从他手中夺取了他所有的地，直到亚嫩河。所以那些作诗歌的说：你们到希实本来吧；愿西宏的城被修造建立。因为有火从希实本发出，有火焰从西宏的城冒出，烧毁了摩押的亚珥，亚嫩河丘坛的主。摩押啊，你有祸了！基抹的百姓啊，你们灭亡了！基抹的男子逃亡，女子被掳，交给了亚摩利王西宏。我们射了他们；希实本直到底本尽都毁灭。我们劫掠，直到挪法；这挪法直延到米底巴。

从那年起，他们欺压迫害以色列人，在约旦河东，亚摩利人境内，基列一带所有的以色列人，长达十八年。

你们起来往前去，过亚嫩谷。看，我已将亚摩利人希实本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要开始去得他的地为业，向他挑战。

于是这地太平四十年。基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂死了。

那日，摩押在以色列手下制伏了。于是这地太平八十年。

耶和华使以色列人从四围所有的仇敌中得享安宁，已经有很多日子了。约书亚年纪老迈，

“耶和华啊，愿你的仇敌都这样灭亡！愿爱你的人如太阳上升，大发光辉！”于是这地太平四十年。

亚比米勒治理以色列三年。

有住希实本的亚摩利王西宏，他统治的地从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥起，包括谷中之城和基列的一半，直到亚扪人边界的雅博河，

耶和华对我说：‘不要怕他！因我已把他和他的众百姓，以及他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像从前待住在希实本的亚摩利王西宏一样。’

他统治的地是黑门山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和玛迦人的边界，以及基列的一半，直到希实本王西宏的边界。

这样，米甸就被以色列人制伏了，再也不能抬头。基甸还在的日子，这地太平四十年。
