He replied,“ Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” For three days they could not give the answer.

Samson replied,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” For three days they couldn’t give him the answer.

And he said to them,“ Out of the eater came something to eat. Out of the strong came something sweet.” And in three days they could not solve the riddle.

So he said:“ Out of the one who eats came something to eat; out of the strong came something sweet.” Three days later they were still trying to figure it out.

He said to them,“ Out of the eater came out food. Out of the strong came out sweetness.” They couldn’t in three days declare the riddle.

阿利冰族以餅以肉攜之而至、無間朝夕、所飲者此溪之水。

兄弟歷試諸艱、當以為喜、因知爾信主、試以艱難、則忍自生、惟恆忍至極、則全備無缺、

斯實耶和華之旨、使之糜爛、憂心悄悄、獻祭贖罪、可享遐齡、若子若孫、熾昌弗絕、耶和華之志、無不大成。耶和華曰、余有良臣、先患難、後結果、心無不悅、彼也、任人愆尤、使人咸知斯理、得稱為義、惟此良臣、人視為罪犯中人。彼捐軀、為人負罪、代惡者祈禱、故予必大賚之、舉凡富強之子皆屬焉。

子乃血氣之屬、主亦血氣之屬、欲以其死使魔鬼無權、不得逞其力以傷人、是使平生畏死而屈服者、無不解釋也、

我欲兄弟知我遇難、福音益以廣布、我緣基督、陷於縲絏、遍聞營壘、隨在播揚、宗主諸兄弟、因我縲絏、益毅然傳道無懼、且傳基督道、而人媢嫉朋黨者有之、善意者有之、彼傳基督道、為朋黨、非誠心、欲苦我於縲絏中、此則出於仁愛、知我為辯福音而用、然則余將若何、凡事不論真偽、有傳基督道者、我樂之、亦終樂之、我知爾為我祈禱、賴耶穌基督之神助我、我雖遘難、亦必受福、我企望無愧、平昔諤諤、今而後、或生或死、基督將因我躬丕顯矣、

曰、不有啟發、安能知之、遂請腓力登車同乘、

蓋今時、即遘艱辛、亦為甚微、越至於後、得享至大悠久之榮、

生我身之父、或暫時任意責我、賦我神之父、乃為我益而責我、使我得與作聖、凡責我者、我受時憂而不樂、後經練習、則結善果、以致平康、

然我賴愛我者、故勝諸事而有餘、

身懸於木、為我受刑、令我去惡遷善、蓋以耶穌受鞭扑而醫爾、

我以生釁之心、置爾與婦之衷、爰及苗裔、彼將傷爾首、爾將傷其踵。

經歷曠野、其境甚廣、其形可畏、在彼有毒蛇、蠍蟲、既至無水之地、則由堅磐出水、以飲爾曹、居於曠野、以爾祖未識之嗎嗱飼爾、使爾自卑、以試爾心、終有裨益。

約沙法率眾、得貨財、寶物甚多、剝尸又得財物、不能攜負、因貨財之多、三日取之、猶不盡。

道其高矣哉、愚人不能企及、在公庭不知所措詞。

或告約沙法曰、鹽海之東、亞蘭之南、群眾咸至、欲攻擊爾、今在哈洗遜大馬、即隱其底。

不第此、所喜又在患難、蓋知患難生強忍、強忍生練達、練達生希望、希望不啟羞、賴賜我以聖神、上帝之我愛、灌溉吾心、
