As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands.

Now men were lying in wait, staying with her in the room. And she said to him,“ The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” But he broke the bowstrings as a strand of yarn breaks when it touches fire. So the secret of his strength was not known.

I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment?

When the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said:“ Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, The destroyer of our land, And the one who multiplied our dead.”

And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel,‘ They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’
