And he was sore athirst, and called on Jehovah, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.

渴甚、籲耶和華曰、爾既大拯爾僕、豈容渴死、使陷於未受割禮者之手乎。

Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord,“ You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was very thirsty. So he cried out to the Lord. He said,“ You have helped me win this great battle. Do I have to die of thirst now? Must I fall into the power of people who haven’t even been circumcised? They aren’t your people.”

And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the Lord and said,“ You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was now very thirsty, and he cried out to the Lord,“ You have accomplished this great victory by the strength of your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of these pagans?”

He became very thirsty and called out to the LORD,“ You have accomplished this great victory through your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, besides our God,The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect?He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: And setteth me upon my high places.He teacheth my hands to war; So that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great.Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; Neither will I turn again till they are consumed.I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise: They shall fall under my feet.For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.

After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.

and it will come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister; that it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of thee.

I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

And what shall I more say? for the time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah; of David and Samuel and the prophets:

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

And the sun rose upon him as he passed over Penuel, and he limped upon his thigh.
