众人看见参孙，就赞美他们的神明，说：“我们的神把仇敌交在我们手中了，他曾毁坏我们的田地，杀死我们许多人。”

When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying,“ Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.”

参孙说：“用这驴腮骨，我杀人成堆；用这驴腮骨，我杀戮千人。”

就剥下扫罗的盔甲，割下他的头颅，并派人到非利士四境向他们的偶像和民众通告消息。

但我不愿让敌人夸口，宣称这是他们的胜利，而非我的作为。’

地上万民便兴高采烈，互相送礼道贺，因为这两位先知曾使地上的人受苦。

参孙大肆击杀他们，杀死了很多人。事后，他下到以坦，住在那里的岩洞里。

迦勒底人向渔网献祭，向渔网烧香，因为他们靠渔网而富裕，食物充足。

我们的上帝耶和华啊，现在求你从亚述王手中拯救我们，让天下万国都知道唯有你是耶和华。”

竟在天上的主面前自大，命人拿来祂殿里的器皿，供你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用来饮酒，并颂赞不能看、不能听、一无所知、用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神明，却不尊崇赐你生命气息、掌管你一举一动的上帝。

就割下了扫罗的头颅，剥下他的盔甲，并派人走遍非利士全境，在他们偶像的庙里及民众中通告消息。
