So the Danites sent five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol to spy out the land and explore it. These men represented all the Danites. They told them,“ Go, explore the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim and came to the house of Micah, where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent out five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol. They told the men to look over the land and check it out. Those men did it for all the people of Dan. Those people told the men,“ Go. Check out the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim. They went to the house of Micah. That’s where they spent the night.

So the people of Dan sent five able men from the whole number of their tribe, from Zorah and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it. And they said to them,“ Go and explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

So the men of Dan chose from their clans five capable warriors from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol to scout out a land for them to settle in. When these warriors arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, they came to Micah’s house and spent the night there.

So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them,“ Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.

So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to explore it; and they said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and stayed overnight there.

and the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol. (niv)

Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim.“ Go, look over the land,” he said,“ especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there. (niv)

Then six hundred men of the Danites, armed for battle, set out from Zorah and Eshtaol. (niv)

When they returned to Zorah and Eshtaol, their fellow Danites asked them,“ How did you find things?” (niv)

When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said,“ Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. (niv)

He answered,“ We are on our way from Bethlehem in Judah to a remote area in the hill country of Ephraim where I live. I have been to Bethlehem in Judah and now I am going to the house of the Lord. No one has taken me in for the night. (niv)

Plans are established by seeking advice; so if you wage war, obtain guidance. (niv)

“ Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? (niv)

In those days Israel had no king. Now a Levite who lived in a remote area in the hill country of Ephraim took a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah. (niv)

Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.” (niv)

The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh, (niv)

“ If you are so numerous,” Joshua answered,“ and if the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites.”The people of Joseph replied,“ The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the plain have chariots fitted with iron, both those in Beth Shan and its settlements and those in the Valley of Jezreel.”But Joshua said to the tribes of Joseph— to Ephraim and Manasseh—“ You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotmentbut the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.” (niv)

A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth. (niv)

Then his brothers and his father’s whole family went down to get him. They brought him back and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Israel twenty years.Now a man named Micah from the hill country of Ephraim (niv)
