当那夜，耶和华吩咐基甸说：“起来，下到米甸营里去，因我已将他们交在你手中。

因为耶和华你的神从你各支派中将他拣选出来，使他和他子孙永远奉耶和华的名侍立，侍奉。

亚伦的儿子以利亚撒也死了，就把他葬在他儿子非尼哈所得以法莲山地的小山上。

那时，耶和华将利未支派分别出来，抬耶和华的约柜，又侍立在耶和华面前侍奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。

祭司非尼哈与会中的首领，就是与他同来以色列军中的统领，听见流便人、迦得人、玛拿西人所说的话，就都以为美。祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈对流便人、迦得人、玛拿西人说：“今日我们知道耶和华在我们中间，因为你们没有向他犯了这罪。现在你们救以色列人脱离耶和华的手了。”祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈与众首领离了流便人、迦得人，从基列地回往迦南地，到了以色列人那里，便将这事回报他们。

大卫又求问耶和华。耶和华回答说：“你起身下基伊拉去，我必将非利士人交在你手里。”大卫和跟随他的人往基伊拉去，与非利士人打仗，大大杀败他们，又夺获他们的牲畜。这样，大卫救了基伊拉的居民。亚希米勒的儿子亚比亚他逃到基伊拉见大卫的时候，手里拿着以弗得。有人告诉扫罗说：“大卫到了基伊拉。”扫罗说：“他进了有门有闩的城，困闭在里头；这是神将他交在我手里了。”于是扫罗招聚众民，要下去攻打基伊拉城，围困大卫和跟随他的人。大卫知道扫罗设计谋害他，就对祭司亚比亚他说：“将以弗得拿过来。”大卫祷告说：“耶和华以色列的神啊，你仆人听真了扫罗要往基伊拉来，为我的缘故灭城。基伊拉人将我交在扫罗手里不交？扫罗照着你仆人所听的话下来不下来？耶和华以色列的神啊，求你指示仆人！”耶和华说：“扫罗必下来。”大卫又说：“基伊拉人将我和跟随我的人交在扫罗手里不交？”耶和华说：“必交出来。”

犹大和耶路撒冷人哪，这次你们不要争战，要摆阵站着，看耶和华为你们施行拯救。不要恐惧，也不要惊惶。明日当出去迎敌，因为耶和华与你们同在。’”

耶和华啊，我晓得人的道路不由自己，行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。

你要专心仰赖耶和华，不可倚靠自己的聪明，在你一切所行的事上都要认定他，他必指引你的路。

耶和华说：“犹大当先上去，我已将那地交在他手中。”

神耶和华向乌撒发怒，因这错误击杀他，他就死在神的约柜旁。大卫因耶和华击杀乌撒，心里愁烦，就称那地方为毗列斯乌撒，直到今日。那日，大卫惧怕耶和华，说：“耶和华的约柜怎可运到我这里来？”于是大卫不肯将耶和华的约柜运进大卫的城，却运到迦特人俄别以东的家中。耶和华的约柜在迦特人俄别以东家中三个月；耶和华赐福给俄别以东和他的全家。有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因为约柜赐福给俄别以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将神的约柜从俄别以东家中抬到大卫的城里。

约书亚说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你为什么竟领这百姓过约旦河，将我们交在亚摩利人的手中，使我们灭亡呢？我们不如住在约旦河那边倒好。

以色列人打发祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，往基列地去见流便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人；

大卫求问耶和华说：“我追赶敌军，追得上追不上呢？”耶和华说：“你可以追，必追得上，都救得回来。”

大卫求问耶和华说：“我可以上去攻打非利士人吗？你将他们交在我手里吗？”耶和华说：“你可以上去，我必将非利士人交在你手里。”大卫来到巴力毗拉心，在那里击杀非利士人，说：“耶和华在我面前冲破敌人，如同水冲去一般。”因此称那地方为巴力毗拉心。非利士人将偶像撇在那里，大卫和跟随他的人拿去了。非利士人又上来，布散在利乏音谷。大卫求问耶和华；耶和华说：“不要一直地上去，要转到他们后头，从桑林对面攻打他们。你听见桑树梢上有脚步的声音，就要急速前去，因为那时耶和华已经在你前头去攻打非利士人的军队。”

扫罗求问神说：“我下去追赶非利士人可以不可以？你将他们交在以色列人手里不交？”这日神没有回答他。

祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，跟随那以色列人进亭子里去，便将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。耶和华晓谕摩西说：“祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所发的怒消了；因他在他们中间，以我的忌邪为心，使我不在忌邪中把他们除灭。因此，你要说：‘我将我平安的约赐给他。这约要给他和他的后裔，作为永远当祭司职任的约；因他为神有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。’”

他们将神的约柜从冈上亚比拿达的家里抬出来，放在新车上；亚比拿达的两个儿子乌撒和亚希约赶这新车。
