Gideon realized it was the angel of the Lord. He cried out,“ Oh no, my Lord and King, I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

基甸见他是耶和华的使者，就说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，我不好了，因为我觌面看见耶和华的使者。”

基甸发现他果然是耶和华的天使，便说：“唉！主耶和华啊，不好了，我面对面见了你的天使。”

基甸看出他是耶和华的使者，就说：“哀哉，我主耶和华啊，因为我面对面看见了耶和华的使者。”

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，我不好了，因為我覿面看見耶和華的使者。」

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哎呀！主耶和華啊！因為我真的面對面看見了耶和華的使者。」

基甸發現他果然是耶和華的天使，便說：「唉！主耶和華啊，不好了，我面對面見了你的天使。」

基甸看出他是耶和華的使者，就說：“哀哉，我主耶和華啊，因為我面對面看見了耶和華的使者。”

基甸看出他是永恆主的使者；就說：『哀啊！主永恆主啊，我既面對面地看見永恆主的使者，我活不了啦！』

基甸知為耶和華之使者、曰、哀哉、主耶和華歟、我面晤耶和華之使者矣、

其田乃知誠耶和華之使、則曰、我主耶和華歟、我與耶和華使者晤對、將若何。

基甸見為主之使者曰、哀哉我主天主歟、我甚畏懼、因我面見主之使者矣、

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he exclaimed,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

Then Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the Lord. And Gideon said,“ Alas, O Lord God! For now I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face.”

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he cried out,“ Oh, Sovereign Lord, I’m doomed! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

When Gideon realized that he was the angel of the LORD, he said,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!”

When Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the Lord, he said,“ Oh, Lord God! For I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said,“ Alas, O Lord GOD! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.”

And Gideon saw that he was the angel of Jehovah; and Gideon said, Alas, O Lord Jehovah! forasmuch as I have seen the angel of Jehovah face to face.

When Gideon realized that He was the Angel of the Lord, he said,“ Oh no, Lord God! I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face!”

And when Gideon perceived that he[ was] an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

When Gideon realized that it was the LORD’s messenger, he said,“ Oh no! Master, LORD! I have seen the LORD’s messenger face to face!”

Gideon saw that he was Yahweh’s angel; and Gideon said,“ Alas, Lord Yahweh! Because I have seen Yahweh’s angel face to face!”

But you can’t see my face,” he said.“ No one can see me and stay alive.”

So Jacob named the place Peniel. He said,“ I saw God face to face. But I’m still alive!”

We have heard the voice of the living God. We’ve heard him speaking out of the fire. Has any other human being ever heard him speak like that and stayed alive?

At that time I stood between the Lord and you. I announced to you the Lord’ s message. I did it because you were afraid of the fire. You didn’t go up the mountain. The Lord said,

She gave a name to the Lord who spoke to her. She called him“ You are the God who sees me.” That’s because she said,“ I have now seen the One who sees me.”

You said,“ The Lord our God has shown us his glory and majesty. We have heard his voice coming out of the fire. Today we have seen that a person can still stay alive even if God speaks with them.

“ How terrible it is for me!” I cried out.“ I’m about to be destroyed! My mouth speaks sinful words. And I live among people who speak sinful words. Now I have seen the King with my own eyes. He is the Lord who rules over all.”A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.He touched my mouth with the coal. He said,“ This has touched your lips. Your guilt has been taken away. Your sin has been paid for.”Then I heard the voice of the Lord. He said,“ Who will I send? Who will go for us?” I said,“ Here I am. Send me!”

No one has ever seen God. But the One and Only is God and is at the Father’s side. The one at the Father’s side has shown us what God is like.

The angel of the Lord didn’t show himself again to Manoah and his wife. Then Manoah realized it was the angel of the Lord.“ We’re going to die!” he said to his wife.“ We’ve seen God!”But his wife answered,“ The Lord doesn’t want to kill us. If he did, he wouldn’t have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from us. He wouldn’t have shown us all these things. He wouldn’t have told us we’re going to have a son.”

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.
