Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon. So Gideon blew a trumpet to send for the men of Abiezer. He told them to follow him.

But the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon, and he sounded the trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called out to follow him.

Then the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with power. He blew a ram’s horn as a call to arms, and the men of the clan of Abiezer came to him.

永恆主的靈感動他，他就作士師來拯救以色列；他出去爭戰，永恆主將亞蘭王古珊利薩田交在他手中，他的手就強過古珊利薩田。

既已到了，就在以法蓮山地吹號角；以色列人從山地和他一同下來，他在他們前面領路；

那時上帝的靈覆被在祭司耶何耶大的兒子撒迦利亞身上，撒迦利亞就站在比人民高的地方，對他們說：『上帝這麼說：「你們為甚麼越犯了永恆主的誡命，以致不能順利呢？因為你們離棄了永恆主，永恆主也離棄你們。」』

那時上帝的靈覆被在那三十個勇士的首領亞瑪撒身上，亞瑪撒就說：『大衛啊，我們是歸你的；耶西的兒子啊，我們是擁護你的；願你平安興隆；願幫助你的也都平安興隆；因為你的上帝幫助着你。』大衛就收留他們，立他們在遊擊隊首領之列。

總要穿上主耶穌基督為軍裝；別為肉體籌謀、去放縱私慾了。

有人藉着靈、稟受智慧的話；另有人依這同一的靈稟受知識的話；另有別人本着這同一的靈稟受深信之心；另有人本着這獨一的靈稟受行醫的恩賜；另有人稟受異能的效力；另有人稟受神言傳講的才能；另有人稟受辨別諸靈的能力；另有別人稟受種種的捲舌頭話；又另有人對捲舌頭話稟受解明的才能：這一切都是這獨一而同一的靈以動力所運行的；他照他的意思一樣一樣分布給各人。

參孫來到利希，非利士人就吶喊起來迎着他；永恆主的靈大大激動參孫，他手臂上的粗繩子就像火燒的麻一樣，綁他的繩子都從他手上成了灰般掉下來。

在瑪哈尼但（也即是在瑣拉）與以實陶之間、永恆主的靈開始攪動參孫。

掃羅聽見這些話，就被上帝的靈大大感動，怒氣大發。

基甸對他們說：『我現在所行的怎能比得上你們呢？以法蓮摘取剩下的葡萄、不強過亞比以謝所割取的麼？

永恆主的靈大大激動參孫，參孫就下到亞實基倫，擊殺了他們中間三十個人，取了所被剝奪的衣裳，將那三十套衣裳，給了那些將謎語的意思說出來的人；參孫發怒，便上他父親家裏去了。

不要丟掉我離開你的聖容；不要從我裏面收回你的聖靈。

因為你們凡受了洗歸入基督的、便是穿上了基督為衣服。

他們吹兩枝的時候，全會眾都要聚集到你這裏、在會棚的出入處。

永恆主的靈必大大感動你，你就和他們一同受感動而發神言狂；你就要變為另一個人。

永恆主的靈離開了掃羅；有惡靈從永恆主那裏來驚擾他。

瑪拿西其餘的子孫按着家族拈鬮分地：就是亞比以謝的子孫、希勒的子孫、亞斯列的子孫、示劍的子孫、希弗的子孫、示米大的子孫：按着家族、這些人都是約瑟兒子瑪拿西子孫的男丁。

永恆主的使者來到，坐在聖篤耨香樹之下。就是在俄弗拉、屬亞比以謝族人約阿施的那棵；約阿施的兒子基甸正在酒醡裏打麥子，為要躲避米甸人的眼目。
