他的同伴回答：“這不是別的，這是以色列人約阿施的兒子基甸的刀；神已經把米甸和全營交在他手中了。”

他的同伴回答說：『這不是別的，乃是以色列人約阿施的兒子基甸的刀；上帝已把米甸和全營交在他手中了。』

同儕曰、此非他、乃以色列人約阿施子基甸之刃、上帝已以米甸全軍付於其手、

同儔曰、此無他、乃以色列人約押子其田之刃、蓋上帝以米田軍付於其手。

其同伴曰、此無他、乃以色列人約阿施子基甸之刀、天主必以米甸人與全軍軍或作營付於其手、

His friend responded,“ This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.”

His friend replied,“ That can only be the sword of Gideon, the son of Joash. Gideon is from Israel. God has handed the Midianites over to him. He has given him the whole camp.”

And his comrade answered,“ This is no other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has given into his hand Midian and all the camp.”

His companion answered,“ Your dream can mean only one thing— God has given Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite, victory over Midian and all its allies!”

His friend answered,“ This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has handed the entire Midianite camp over to him.”

And his friend replied,“ This is nothing other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has handed over to him Midian and all the camp.”

Then his companion answered and said,“ This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.”

And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: into his hand God hath delivered Midian, and all the host.

His friend answered:“ This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has handed the entire Midianite camp over to him.”

And his fellow answered and said, This[ is] nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel:[ for] into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.

The other man said,“ Without a doubt this symbolizes the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God is handing Midian and all the army over to him.”

His fellow answered,“ This is nothing other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel. God has delivered Midian into his hand, with all the army.”

对他们说：“我知道耶和华已经把这地赐给你们了，并且我们也都惧怕你们。这地所有的居民在你们面前都融化了。

约旦河西亚摩利人的众王和靠海迦南人的众王，听见耶和华在以色列人前面使约旦河的水干了，直到他们过了河，众王因以色列人的缘故都胆战心惊，勇气全失。

他们对约书亚说：“耶和华果然将那全地交在我们手中了，并且那地所有的居民在我们面前都融化了。”

巴勒向巴兰怒气发作，就紧握拳头。巴勒对巴兰说：“我召你来诅咒我的仇敌，看哪，你竟然这三次为他们祝福。如今你赶快回本地去吧！我想使你大得尊荣，看哪，耶和华却阻止你得尊荣。”巴兰对巴勒说：“我不是对你所差遣到我那里的使者说：‘巴勒就是把他满屋的金银给我，我也不能违背耶和华的指示，随自己的心意做好做歹。耶和华说什么，我就说什么。’

你岂不是四面圈上篱笆围护他和他的家，以及他一切所有的吗？他手所做的都蒙你赐福，他的家产也在地上增多。

看哪，我奉命祝福；上帝赐福，我不能扭转。

耶和华把话放在巴兰口中，说：“你回到巴勒那里，要这样说。”

因为主使亚兰人的军队听见战车战马的声音，大军的声音，他们就彼此说：“看哪，这必是以色列王雇用赫人诸王和埃及诸王来攻击我们。”所以，在黄昏的时候他们起来逃跑，撇下帐棚、马、驴，把军营留在原处，只顾逃命。

巴兰对巴勒说：“看哪，我已经到你这里来了！现在我岂能擅自说什么呢？上帝将什么话放在我口中，我就说什么。”

万民听见就战抖；疼痛抓住非利士的居民。那时，以东的族长惊惶，摩押的英雄被战兢抓住，迦南所有的居民都融化。
