基甸说：“我怎能比得上你们呢？以法莲人摘剩的葡萄岂不比我们亚比以谢族收获的葡萄更好吗？

基甸对他们说：“我所行的怎能比得上你们呢？在以法莲拾取剩下的葡萄，不是比在亚比以谢收摘的葡萄更好吗？

基甸對他們說：「我所行的豈能比你們所行的呢？以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄不強過亞比以謝所摘的葡萄嗎？

基甸對他們說：「我現在所做的怎麼與你們所做的相比呢？以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄不強過亞比以謝族所摘的葡萄嗎？

基甸對他們說：「我現在所做的怎麼與你們所做的相比呢？以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄不強過亞比以謝族所摘的葡萄嗎？

基甸對他們說：“我所行的怎能比得上你們呢？在以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄，不是比在亞比以謝收摘的葡萄更好嗎？

基甸對他們說：『我現在所行的怎能比得上你們呢？以法蓮摘取剩下的葡萄、不強過亞比以謝所割取的麼？

基甸曰、我之所為、豈能比爾之所為、以法蓮所採之遺果、詎不勝於亞比以謝所斂之葡萄乎、

其田曰、我之所為、與爾所為、焉能比較、亞庇以泄之斂取葡萄、不及以法蓮之採遺實也。

基甸曰、我之所為、豈能比爾之所為乎、以法蓮人拾所遺之葡萄、豈不勝於亞比以謝族初斂之葡萄乎、

But he answered them,“ What have I accomplished compared to you? Aren’t the gleanings of Ephraim’s grapes better than the full grape harvest of Abiezer?

But he answered them,“ What I’ve done isn’t anything compared to what you have done. Ephraim’s grapes have been gathered. Isn’t what is left over better than all the grapes that have been gathered from Abiezer’s vines?

And he said to them,“ What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the grape harvest of Abiezer?

But Gideon replied,“ What have I accomplished compared to you? Aren’t even the leftover grapes of Ephraim’s harvest better than the entire crop of my little clan of Abiezer?

So he said to them,“ What have I done now compared to you? Is not the gleaning of Ephraim better than the grape harvest of Abiezer?

But he said to them,“ What have I done now in comparison with you? Is the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim not better than the vintage of Abiezer?

So he said to them,“ What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

And he said unto them, What have I now done in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

So he said to them,“ What have I done now compared to you? Is not the gleaning of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you?[ Is] not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

He said to them,“ Now what have I accomplished compared to you? Even Ephraim’s leftover grapes are better quality than Abiezer’s harvest!

He said to them,“ What have I now done in comparison with you? Isn’t the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

就要同心合意，彼此相愛，靈裡合一，思想一致，好讓我的喜樂更充足。凡事不可自私自利、愛慕虛榮，要心存謙卑，看別人比自己強。

我親愛的弟兄姊妹，請記住：每個人都要快快地聽，慢慢地說，慢慢地動怒。因為人的憤怒不能成就上帝的公義。

耶和華的靈降在基甸身上，他就吹起號角，號召亞比以謝族的人跟從他。

你們當中誰是有智慧、有見識的呢？請他帶著來自智慧的謙和，在善行上表現出來。但如果你們心懷苦毒的嫉妒和自私的野心，就不要自誇說有智慧，也不要違背真理去撒謊。這種智慧並非來自天上，而是從世俗、私慾和魔鬼來的。哪裡有嫉妒和自私的野心，哪裡就會有混亂和各樣的惡事。但從天上來的智慧首先是純潔，然後是愛好和平、溫良柔順、充滿憐憫、多結善果、不存偏見、沒有虛偽。使人和睦的人撒下和平的種子，必收穫仁義的果實。

因為全部的律法可以總結成一句話：「要愛鄰如己」。你們要謹慎，如果你們相咬相吞，恐怕會同歸於盡。

愛是恆久忍耐，又有恩慈。愛是不嫉妒，不自吹自擂，不驕傲自大，不輕浮無禮；不自私自利，不輕易動怒，不懷怨記恨；不喜愛不義，只喜愛真理。凡事能包容，凡事有信心，凡事有盼望，凡事能忍耐。

一天，耶和華的天使來到俄弗拉，坐在亞比以謝族人約阿施的橡樹下。約阿施的兒子基甸因為要躲避米甸人，正躲在榨酒池裡打麥子。
