But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”

基甸回答說：「我和我子孫都不統治你們，統治你們的是耶和華。

基甸回答他們：“我不統治你們，我的子孫也不統治你們，唯有耶和華統治你們。”

基甸對他們說：『我不管理你們，我兒子也不管理你們，只有永恆主管理你們。』

基甸曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也、

其田曰、我不治爾、子孫亦不治爾、治爾者乃耶和華也。

基甸對曰、我不治爾、我子亦不治爾、治爾者惟主、

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon told them,“ I will not rule over you. My son won’t rule over you either. The Lord will rule over you.”

Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.”

But Gideon replied,“ I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The Lord will rule over you!

But Gideon said to them,“ I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the LORD will rule over you.”

And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: Jehovah shall rule over you.

But you have today rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him,‘ No, set a king over us!’ Now therefore, present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your clans.”

And when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me,‘ No, but a king shall reign over us,’ when the Lord your God was your king.

Now there was also a dispute among them, as to which of them should be considered the greatest.And He said to them,“ The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called‘ benefactors.’But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves.For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;

Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

We have become like those of old, over whom You never ruled, Those who were never called by Your name.

And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another,“ Who is the man who will begin the fight against the people of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

But the thing displeased Samuel when they said,“ Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead,“ If you take me back home to fight against the people of Ammon, and the Lord delivers them to me, shall I be your head?”And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah,“ The Lord will be a witness between us, if we do not do according to your words.”Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and commander over them; and Jephthah spoke all his words before the Lord in Mizpah.

And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them.
