惟我若柔順之羔、被牽而就死地、不知彼謀害我曰、我儕其毀厥樹與果、絕之於生人之地、使其名不復見憶、

人謀害我、我昔不知、譬彼羔羊、其性柔順、將就死地、人曰、當滅其生命、若伐木剝果、使名不存。

其時我若柔順之羔羊、被牽至死地、我尚不知其謀害我、曰、盍滅之、如伐樹而毀其果、絕之於有生者之地、使其名不復記念、

I had been like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; I did not realize that they had plotted against me, saying,“ Let us destroy the tree and its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.”

I had been like a gentle lamb led off to be killed. I didn’t realize they had made plans against me. They had said,“ Let’s destroy the tree and its fruit. Let’s take away his life. Then his name won’t be remembered anymore.”

But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter. I did not know it was against me they devised schemes, saying,“ Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.”

I was like a lamb being led to the slaughter. I had no idea that they were planning to kill me!“ Let’s destroy this man and all his words,” they said.“ Let’s cut him down, so his name will be forgotten forever.”

But I[ was] like a lamb[ or] an ox[ that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me,[ saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

Before this I had been like a docile lamb ready to be led to the slaughter. I did not know they were making plans to kill me. I did not know they were saying,“ Let’s destroy the tree along with its fruit! Let’s remove Jeremiah from the world of the living so people will not even be reminded of him any more.”

For I have heard the defaming of many,“ Terror on every side! Denounce, and we will denounce him!” say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall.“ Perhaps he will be persuaded, and we will prevail against him, and we will take our revenge on him.”

“ Come,” they say,“ let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

Then they said,“ Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he didn’t open his mouth.He was taken away by oppression and judgment. As for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?

Man doesn’t know its price; Neither is it found in the land of the living.

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.

At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.The lord of the vineyard said,‘ What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’“ But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’They threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?

The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.

Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit, and kill him.

Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

I will walk before Yahweh in the land of the living.

The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.

I cried to you, Yahweh. I said,“ You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”

The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.

For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.

He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose.

I said,“ I won’t see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

After the sixty- two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off, and will have nothing. The people of the prince who come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will be with a flood, and war will be even to the end. Desolations are determined.
