可以从其中取木料来做工吗？人可以拿来做钉子，挂东西在上面吗？看哪，它已经抛在火中当柴烧，火既烧了两头，中间也烧焦了，它还有什么用处呢？看哪，它完整的时候尚且不能拿来做工，何况被火烧焦了，还能拿来做工吗？

约书亚穿着污秽的衣服，站在那使者面前。使者吩咐那些侍立在他面前的说：“脱去他污秽的衣服。”又对约书亚说：“你看，我使你的罪孽离开你，要给你穿上华美的衣服。”

这恶民不肯听我的话，按自己顽梗的心而行，随从别神，事奉敬拜它们；这恶民必像这腰带，毫无用处。

从前他与你没有益处，但如今与你我都有益处。
