Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord your God when he led you in the way? (niv)

I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made. (niv)

Then the Lord said,“ Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer. (niv)

The Israelites are stubborn, like a stubborn heifer. How then can the Lord pasture them like lambs in a meadow? (niv)

But if I say,“ I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. (niv)

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty. (niv)
