Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say,“ Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.

Lord, you give me strength. You are like a fort to me. When I’m in trouble, I go to you for safety. The nations will come to you from one end of the earth to the other. They will gather together and say,“ Our people of long ago didn’t own anything except statues of gods. The statues were worthless. They didn’t do them any good.

O Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say:“ Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.

Lord, you are my strength and fortress, my refuge in the day of trouble! Nations from around the world will come to you and say,“ Our ancestors left us a foolish heritage, for they worshiped worthless idols.

LORD, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of distress, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and they will say,“ Our ancestors inherited only lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.”

Lord, my strength and my stronghold, And my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations will come From the ends of the earth and say,“ Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, Futility, and things of no benefit.”

O Lord, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say,“ Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things.”

O Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, even vanity and things wherein there is no profit.

Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say,“ Our fathers inherited only lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.”

I love you, Lord, my strength.The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (niv)

You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall (niv)

he says:“ It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” (niv)

Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them.They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish. (niv)

Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit nothing? (niv)

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come,and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say,‘ Let us go at once to entreat the Lord and seek the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him.”This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say,‘ Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’” (niv)

“ Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. (niv)

All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. (niv)

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, (niv)

Do not be a terror to me; you are my refuge in the day of disaster. (niv)

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.Many nations will come and say,“ Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (niv)

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord,“ He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (niv)

My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

“ Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. (niv)

Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. (niv)

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. (niv)

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.And they cried out in a loud voice:“ Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.” (niv)

Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God. (niv)

The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. (niv)

The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (niv)

Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. (niv)

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, (niv)

May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. (niv)

“ Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.Woe to him who says to wood,‘ Come to life!’ Or to lifeless stone,‘ Wake up!’ Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it.” (niv)

Has a nation ever changed its gods?( Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols. (niv)

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (niv)

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’ (niv)

My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. (niv)

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (niv)
