I have not run away from being your shepherd; you know I have not desired the day of despair. What passes my lips is open before you.

I haven’t run away from being the shepherd of your people. You know I haven’t wanted the day of Jerusalem’s fall to come. You are aware of every word that comes from my lips.

Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember that I stood before you and spoke in their behalf to turn your wrath away from them. (niv)

For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. (niv)

You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. (niv)
