因他必像沙漠的杜松，不见福乐来到，却要住旷野干旱之处，无人居住的碱地。

因他必像沙漠的杜松，不見福樂來到，卻要住曠野乾旱之處，無人居住的鹼地。

這樣的人毫無福樂，像沙漠中的灌木。他要住在曠野中乾旱無人的鹽鹼地。

他正像原野上的杜松，福樂來到，他也看不見，他卻要住在曠野焦乾之處，無人居住之鹹地。

蓋彼必如沙漠之杜松、不沾膏澤、居於曠野乾燥之地、斥鹵之區、無人之處、

譬彼杜松、生於曠野、其地斥鹵、其壤燥烈、人蹤罕至、不沾膏澤。

必如焭獨人在曠野、不見福降、或作必如杜松生於曠野不見雨澤居於沙漠旱乾之處、無人居之滷地、

That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

They will be like a bush in a dry and empty land. They will not enjoy success when it comes. They will live in dry places in the desert. It is a land of salt where no one else lives.

He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.

He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.

For he will be like a bush in the desert, And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt that is not inhabited.

For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.

遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，

他不再看見溪流，流奶與蜜之河。

我使曠野作牠的住處，使鹽地當牠的居所。

你們要奔逃，自救己命，使你們的性命如曠野裏的矮樹。

願他們像房頂上的草，一發芽就枯乾，收割的不夠用手抓一把，捆禾的也不夠抱滿懷。過路的也不說：「願耶和華所賜的福歸與你們！我們奉耶和華的名給你們祝福！」

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神說：因此，我指着我的永生起誓：摩押必如所多瑪，亞捫人必像蛾摩拉，都變為刺草、鹽坑、永遠荒廢之地。我百姓中剩餘的必擄掠他們，我國中的倖存者必得他們的地。

有一個攙扶王的軍官回答神人說：「看哪，即使耶和華打開天上的窗戶，也不可能有這事。」以利沙說：「看哪，你必親眼看見，在那裏卻吃不到甚麼。」

「蒲草沒有泥豈能生長？蘆荻沒有水豈能長大？它還青翠，沒有割下的時候，比百樣的草先枯槁。凡忘記神的人，路途也是這樣；不虔敬人的指望要滅沒。

他不得脫離黑暗，火焰要把他的嫩枝燒乾；因神口中的氣，他要離去。不要讓他倚靠虛假，欺騙自己，因虛假必成為他的報應。他的日期未到之先，這事必實現；他的枝子不得青綠。他必像葡萄樹，葡萄未熟就掉落；又像橄欖樹，一開花就凋謝。因不敬虔之輩必不能生育，受賄賂之人的帳棚必被火吞滅。

亞比米勒攻城一整天，將城奪取，殺了其中的百姓，把城拆毀，撒上了鹽。

因為你們必如葉子枯乾的橡樹，如無水的園子。

那軍官回答神人說：「看哪，即使耶和華打開天上的窗戶，也不可能有這事。」神人說：「看哪，你必親眼看見，在那裏卻吃不到甚麼。」這話果然應驗在他身上，因為百姓在城門把他踩死了。

但是沼澤與池塘的水無法變淡，只能作產鹽之用。

惡人並不是這樣，卻像糠粃被風吹散。

惡人雖茂盛如草，作惡的人雖全都興旺，他們卻要滅亡，直到永遠。
