The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end? (niv)

The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the Lord; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered. (niv)

Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. (niv)

Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a strong man overcome by wine, because of the Lord and his holy words.The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep: He has sealed your eyes( the prophets); he has covered your heads( the seers). (niv)
