因為耶和華論到從這地方出去的猶大王約西亞的兒子沙龍，就是接續他父親約西亞作王的，這樣說：「他必不得再回到這裏來，

他的臣僕用車將他的屍首從米吉多送到耶路撒冷，葬在他自己的墳墓裏。國民膏約西亞的兒子約哈斯接續他父親作王。約哈斯登基的時候年二十三歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月。他母親名叫哈慕她，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。約哈斯行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他列祖一切所行的。法老尼哥將約哈斯鎖禁在哈馬地的利比拉，不許他在耶路撒冷作王，又罰猶大國銀子一百他連得，金子一他連得。法老尼哥立約西亞的兒子以利亞敬接續他父親約西亞作王，給他改名叫約雅敬，卻將約哈斯帶到埃及，他就死在那裏。

所以，耶和華論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的哥哥；或說：哀哉！我的姊姊；也不為他舉哀說：哀哉！我的主；或說：哀哉！我主的榮華。

弓箭手射中約西亞王。王對他的臣僕說：「我受了重傷，你拉我出陣吧！」他的臣僕扶他下了戰車，上了次車，送他到耶路撒冷，他就死了，葬在他列祖的墳墓裏。猶大人和耶路撒冷人都為他悲哀。耶利米為約西亞作哀歌。所有歌唱的男女也唱哀歌，追悼約西亞，直到今日；而且在以色列中成了定例。這歌載在哀歌書上。

我必使你平平安安地歸到墳墓到你列祖那裏；我要降與這地的一切災禍，你也不致親眼看見。』」他們就回覆王去了。

在牠小獅子中養大一個，成了少壯獅子，學會抓食而吃人。列國聽見了就把牠捉在他們的坑中，用鈎子拉到埃及地去。

耶穌轉身對她們說：「耶路撒冷的女子，不要為我哭，當為自己和自己的兒女哭。
