For this is what the Lord says about the palace of the king of Judah:“ Though you are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, I will surely make you like a wasteland, like towns not inhabited.

The Lord speaks about the palace of the king of Judah. He says,“ You are like the land of Gilead to me. You are like the highest mountain in Lebanon. But I will make you like a desert. You will become like towns that no one lives in.

For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:“‘ You are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, yet surely I will make you a desert, an uninhabited city.

Now this is what the Lord says concerning Judah’s royal palace:“ I love you as much as fruitful Gilead and the green forests of Lebanon. But I will turn you into a desert, with no one living within your walls.

For this is what the LORD says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are like Gilead to me, or the summit of Lebanon, but I will certainly turn you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.

For this is what the Lord says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are like Gilead to Me, Like the summit of Lebanon; Yet most assuredly I will make you a wilderness, Cities that are not inhabited.

For thus says the Lord to the house of the king of Judah:“ You are Gilead to Me, The head of Lebanon; Yet I surely will make you a wilderness, Cities which are not inhabited.

For thus saith Jehovah concerning the house of the king of Judah: Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon; yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

For this is what the Lord says concerning the house of the king of Judah: You are like Gilead to Me, or the summit of Lebanon, but I will certainly turn you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.

For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou[ art] Gilead unto me,[ and] the head of Lebanon:[ yet] surely I will make thee a wilderness,[ and] cities[ which] are not inhabited.

“‘ For the LORD says concerning the palace of the king of Judah,“ This place looks like a veritable forest of Gilead to me. It is like the wooded heights of Lebanon in my eyes. But I swear that I will make it like a wilderness whose towns have all been deserted.

For Yahweh says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.

耶和华说：“我要使耶路撒冷沦为废墟，成为豺狼出没之地；我要使犹大的城邑荒凉，不见人烟。”

“犹大王希西迦执政期间，摩利沙人弥迦对犹大众人预言说，“‘万军之耶和华说锡安必被夷为平地，耶路撒冷必沦为废墟，圣殿山要成为一片荒林。’

他们坐下来吃饭的时候，看见一队从基列来的以实玛利商人用骆驼驮着香料、乳香、没药去埃及。

求你让我过去看看约旦河那边的佳美之地——那美好的山区和黎巴嫩。’

我必使这殿像示罗一样被毁，使耶路撒冷被万国咒诅。”’”祭司、先知和民众都听见了耶利米在耶和华的殿里说的这些话。耶利米传达完耶和华的话之后，祭司、先知和民众就抓住他，说：“你真该死！你为什么奉耶和华的名预言这殿必像示罗一样被毁，这城必要荒无人烟呢？”于是，他们在耶和华的殿里把耶利米围了起来。

照你的所作所为惩罚你；我要点燃你的树林，烧光你周围的一切。这是耶和华说的。’”

你要告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，那些住在废墟中的必死于刀下，逃到田野的必被野兽吞吃，躲进堡垒和洞穴的必死于瘟疫。我要使这片土地荒凉不堪，使她所夸耀的势力消逝。以色列的山必荒凉，杳无人迹。

我要召集北方各族和我的仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，去攻击这片土地和其中的居民以及周围各国。我要彻底毁灭他们，使他们的下场很可怕、令人嗤笑、土地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。我要使他们的欢乐声、新郎新娘的欢笑声、推磨声和灯光都消失。

恶讯频传，山河破碎，我的帐篷忽然倒塌，幔子顷刻破裂。

耶和华说：“犹大王约雅敬的儿子哥尼雅啊，我凭我的永恒起誓，即使你是我右手上盖章的戒指，我也要把你摘下来，

看啊，耶和华必摧毁大地，使大地荒凉。祂毁坏地面，驱散万民。那时，祭司和百姓，主人和仆人，主母和婢女，买的和卖的，贷的和借的，债主和债户都必同遭厄运。大地必完全毁坏，一片荒凉。这是耶和华说的。大地必衰残枯干，世界必衰败荒凉，世上的权贵也必败落。大地被世人玷污，他们违犯律法，不守律例，背弃永远的约。所以大地必遭受咒诅，世人必因罪而受惩罚。他们必被焚烧，所剩无几。

他的双腿好像纯金座上的白玉石柱，体格如黎巴嫩挺拔的香柏树。

“你要对犹大的王室说，‘你们要听耶和华的话。

我要在这地方挫败犹大人和耶路撒冷居民的计谋，使他们丧身在敌人刀下，死在仇敌手中，尸体成为飞鸟和野兽的食物。我必摧毁这城，使它令人惊惧、嗤笑，它的满目疮痍必令路人惊惧、嗤笑。
