他们不断对那些藐视我的人说：‘耶和华说：你们必平安无事！’又对所有随从自己顽梗的心行事的人说：‘灾祸必不临到你们！’”

他們常對藐視我的人說：『耶和華說：你們必享平安』；又對一切按自己頑梗之心而行的人說：『必沒有災禍臨到你們。』」

他們不斷地對藐視永恆主之話的人說：「你們必平安無事」；又對所有隨着自己頑強之心意而行的人說：「必沒有災禍會臨到你們。」』

彼恆謂藐我者曰、耶和華云、爾必綏安、謂徇己心之剛愎者曰、災不及於爾身、

有人藐視予、彼託我命、言必獲平康、有人縱私欲、彼言必不遇害。

彼向藐視我者曰、主云、爾必獲平康、向縱欲剛愎自用者曰、必無災降於爾、

They keep saying to those who despise me,‘ The Lord says: You will have peace.’ And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say,‘ No harm will come to you.’

They keep speaking to those who hate me. They say,‘ The Lord says you will have peace.’ They speak to all those who do what their stubborn hearts want them to do. They tell them,‘ No harm will come to you.’

They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord,‘ It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say,‘ No disaster shall come upon you.’”

They keep saying to those who despise my word,‘ Don’t worry! The Lord says you will have peace!’ And to those who stubbornly follow their own desires, they say,‘ No harm will come your way!’

They keep on saying to those who despise me,‘ The LORD has spoken: You will have peace.’ They have said to everyone who follows the stubbornness of his heart,‘ No harm will come to you.’”

They keep saying to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said,“ You will have peace” ’; And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, They say,‘ Disaster will not come on you.’

They continually say to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said,“ You shall have peace”’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,‘ No evil shall come upon you.’”

They say continually unto them that despise me, Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace; and unto every one that walketh in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come upon you.

They keep on saying to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said: You will have peace.’ They have said to everyone who follows the stubbornness of his heart,‘ No harm will come to you.’”

They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

They continually say to those who reject what the LORD has said,‘ Things will go well for you!’ They say to all those who follow the stubborn inclinations of their own hearts,‘ Nothing bad will happen to you!’

They say continually to those who despise me,‘ Yahweh has said,“ You will have peace;”’ and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say,‘ No evil will come on you.’

Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say,“ Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us.” (niv)

These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt— completely useless! (niv)

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say,‘ Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’ (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ As for the prophets who lead my people astray, they proclaim‘ peace’ if they have something to eat, but prepare to wage war against anyone who refuses to feed them. (niv)

When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves, thinking,“ I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry. (niv)

Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.” (niv)

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.“ Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace. (niv)

They have lied about the Lord; they said,“ He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine. (niv)

Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives, (niv)

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.‘ Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace. (niv)

The idols speak deceitfully, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd. (niv)

“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, (niv)

but for a whole month— until it comes out of your nostrils and you loathe it— because you have rejected the Lord, who is among you, and have wailed before him, saying,“ Why did we ever leave Egypt?”’” (niv)

At that time they will call Jerusalem The Throne of the Lord, and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the Lord. No longer will they follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts. (niv)

They said,“ Come, let’s make plans against Jeremiah; for the teaching of the law by the priest will not cease, nor will counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophets. So come, let’s attack him with our tongues and pay no attention to anything he says.” (niv)

“ There is no peace,” says my God,“ for the wicked.” (niv)

But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. (niv)

But I said,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! The prophets keep telling them,‘ You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.’”Then the Lord said to me,“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. (niv)

“ Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares:‘ I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares:‘ Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained. (niv)

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done. (niv)

The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophecies they gave you were false and misleading. (niv)

So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you,“ The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it,those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign Lord.”’ (niv)

Then I said,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying,‘ You will have peace,’ when the sword is at our throats!” (niv)

Within two years I will bring back to this place all the articles of the Lord’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed from here and took to Babylon.I will also bring back to this place Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and all the other exiles from Judah who went to Babylon,’ declares the Lord,‘ for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”Then the prophet Jeremiah replied to the prophet Hananiah before the priests and all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord.He said,“ Amen! May the Lord do so! May the Lord fulfill the words you have prophesied by bringing the articles of the Lord’s house and all the exiles back to this place from Babylon.Nevertheless, listen to what I have to say in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people:From early times the prophets who preceded you and me have prophesied war, disaster and plague against many countries and great kingdoms.But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognized as one truly sent by the Lord only if his prediction comes true.” (niv)

Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’ (niv)

Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. (niv)

“ A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the Lord Almighty.“ It is you priests who show contempt for my name.“ But you ask,‘ How have we shown contempt for your name?’ (niv)

“ Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.” (niv)

At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think,‘ The Lord will do nothing, either good or bad.’ (niv)
