“耶和华以色列的神如此说：被掳去的犹大人，就是我打发离开这地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看顾他们如这好无花果，使他们得好处。

“耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说：‘被掳去的犹大人，就是我所打发离开这地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看顾他们如这好的无花果，使他们得福乐。

“耶和华—以色列的神如此说：‘被掳去的犹大人，就是我所打发离开这地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看顾他们如这好的无花果，使他们得福乐。

“以色列的上帝耶和华这样说，‘那些从这里被掳到迦勒底的犹大人在我眼中是好无花果。

“耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘被掳去的犹大人，就是我打发离开这地方到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看他们如同这些好的无花果一样，眷顾他们。

『永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：猶大流亡的人、我所打發離開這地方到迦勒底人之地去的、我必看他們好，如同這些好的無花果。

以色列之上帝耶和華云、猶大之俘囚、即我遣至迦勒底人之地者、我必視之若此嘉果、使之獲益、

我以色列族之上帝、耶和華云、猶大民為俘、我所遷徙。自斯土至於迦勒底、我視之若此嘉果、

主以色列之天主如是云、被擄之猶大人、即我自斯地遷至迦勒底者、我必視若此佳無花果、施之以恩、

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ Like these good figs, I regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I sent away from this place to the land of the Babylonians.

“ I am the Lord, the God of Israel. I say,‘ I consider the people who were forced to leave Judah to be like these good figs. I sent them away from this place. I forced them to go to Babylon.

“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I have sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans.

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: The good figs represent the exiles I sent from Judah to the land of the Babylonians.

“ This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Like these good figs, so I regard as good the exiles from Judah I sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans.

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans.

“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel:‘ Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans.

Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good.

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Like these good figs, so I regard as good the exiles from Judah I sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for[ their] good.

“ I, the LORD, the God of Israel, say:‘ The exiles whom I sent away from here to the land of Babylon are like those good figs. I consider them to be good.

“ Yahweh, the God of Israel says:‘ Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good.

This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say,‘ They are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The Lord is our God.’” (niv)

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, (niv)

And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,“ My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?If you are not disciplined— and everyone undergoes discipline— then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. (niv)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (niv)

But whoever loves God is known by God. (niv)

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. (niv)

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” (niv)

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. (niv)

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. (niv)

But now that you know God— or rather are known by God— how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? (niv)

He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you. (niv)

“ But he replied,‘ Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ (niv)

Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law;you grant them relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. (niv)

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. (niv)
