I gave the same message to Zedekiah king of Judah. I said,“ Bow your neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, and you will live.

I gave the same message to Zedekiah, the king of Judah. I said,“ Put your neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon. Obey him. Serve his people. Then you will live.

To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in like manner:“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live.

Then I repeated this same message to King Zedekiah of Judah.“ If you want to live, submit to the yoke of the king of Babylon and his people.

I spoke to King Zedekiah of Judah in the same way:“ Put your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, serve him and his people, and live!

I spoke words like all these to Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people, and live!

I also spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying,“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live!

And I spake to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

當是年猶大王西底家為王未久、四年五月、基遍人亞疏子先知哈拿尼亞在主殿、當諸祭司與民眾前、告我耶利米曰、

耶利米謂西底家曰、主萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、如爾出邑見見或作降下同巴比倫王之將帥、則爾必得保全生命、此邑不致被火焚燬、爾與爾全家必得生存、

主又曰、若有民有國、不願服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、不願項負巴比倫王之軛、我必以鋒刃饑饉疫癘罰其民、直至我藉巴比倫王之手、滅之務盡、

惟聽我者、必安然而居、必享平康、無禍可畏、

曰、主如是諭我云、宜製索與軛、懸於爾項、隨後爾以索與軛、託於至耶路撒冷覲猶大王西底家使臣之手、予以東王、摩押王、亞捫族之王、推羅王、西頓王、

西底家即位時、年二十有一歲、都耶路撒冷、在位十一年、行惡於主前、先知耶利米以主命勸之、彼仍不自卑、尼布甲尼撒王使其指天主而誓、必永臣服、乃叛之、強項不馴、剛愎厥心、不歸主以色列之天主、

主有言諭我曰、當告悖逆之族曰、爾曹知是乎、可告之曰、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、將其王與牧伯遷至巴比倫、與王室一人立約、使之發誓、又遷徒遷徒或作擄掠國中大夫、使國卑弱、不復振興、但守盟約、猶可存立、乃彼背叛巴比倫王、遣使至伊及、欲伊及王賜以馬匹軍旅、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、背約之人、豈能得救、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、巴比倫王既立彼為王、彼乃輕視誓言、背棄盟約、必死於巴比倫王之都巴比倫、敵人既築壘建營、欲翦滅邑眾、欲翦滅邑眾或作欲翦滅人眾多法老雖率軍旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、彼立約立約原文作施手以成約之後、輕誓背約、既行此諸事、必不得免難、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、彼所輕之誓、即向我而發、所背之約、即與我而立、我必加報其身、身原文作首為之張網、使陷於我之羅、攜至巴比倫、在彼必罰之、必罰之或作必審鞫之因其獲罪於我、獲罪於我或作背叛我其軍中逃遁者必殞於鋒刃、所遺者必分散四方、爾曹則知我耶和華已言之矣、○
