惟彼先知告爾云、爾必不至服事巴比倫王、勿聽信其言、彼告爾誕妄、以為預言、

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who say to you,‘ You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying lies to you.

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who say to you,‘ You won’t serve the king of Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you.

Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you,‘ The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars.

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are telling you,‘ Don’t serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you.

So do not listen to the words of the prophets who talk to you, saying,‘ You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you;

Therefore do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they prophesy a lie to you;

And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are telling you,‘ You must not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you.

Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Do not listen to the prophets who are telling you that you do not need to serve the king of Babylon. For they are prophesying lies to you.

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

Then the Lord said to me,“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. (niv)

I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. (niv)

Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord. (niv)

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (niv)

So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your interpreters of dreams, your mediums or your sorcerers who tell you,‘ You will not serve the king of Babylon.’They prophesy lies to you that will only serve to remove you far from your lands; I will banish you and you will perish. (niv)

For it is: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there.”Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people,to whom he said,“ This is the resting place, let the weary rest”; and,“ This is the place of repose”— but they would not listen.So then, the word of the Lord to them will become: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there— so that as they go they will fall backward; they will be injured and snared and captured. Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. (niv)

“ I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say,‘ I had a dream! I had a dream!’ (niv)

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies. (niv)

Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say,“ The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words.Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say,“ The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.When the wall collapses, will people not ask you,“ Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord.So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you,“ The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it, (niv)

If a liar and deceiver comes and says,‘ I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,’ that would be just the prophet for this people! (niv)

Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives,therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (niv)

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (niv)

“ Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. (niv)

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them— bringing swift destruction on themselves.Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. (niv)

“‘ By what means?’ the Lord asked.“‘ I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.“‘ You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord.‘ Go and do it.’“ So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.” (niv)
