他們如果是神言人，如果有永恆主的話傳與他們，那麼就讓他們祈求萬軍之永恆主使那在永恆主殿中、和猶大王宮中、以及在耶路撒冷剩下的器皿、不被帶到巴比倫去呀。

如彼誠先知、奉耶和華命、則可祈萬有之主耶和華、使其殿宇、及猶大王宮、耶路撒冷邑所遺之器皿、必不遷於巴比倫。

If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have received a message from me, let them pray to me. I am the Lord who rules over all. Those prophets should pray that what is still in Jerusalem will remain here. They should pray that the objects in my house and the king’s palace will not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.

If they really are prophets and speak the Lord’s messages, let them pray to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Let them pray that the articles remaining in the Lord’s Temple and in the king’s palace and in the palaces of Jerusalem will not be carried away to Babylon!’

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, have them now plead with the Lord of armies that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem do not go to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon.’

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

以色列人對撒母耳說：『願你不靜默地為我們哀呼永恆主我們的上帝救我們脫離非利士人的手。』

眾民對撒母耳說：『請為僕人們禱告永恆主你的上帝，免得我們死亡，因為求立王的事、正是在我們的一切罪上加了一件壞事。』

至於我呢，我絕不停止為你們禱告、而犯罪得罪永恆主；我總要將好而對的道路指教你們。

難道壞行為可以報善行，以致他們挖坑要害我的性命麼？求你記起我怎樣站在你面前為他們說好話，要使你的烈怒轉消、不降於他們。

你們呼求你們的神的名，我也呼求永恆主耶和華的名；那降火顯應的神，就是上帝。』眾民回答說：『這話很好。』

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，使你們得醫治，義人竭力的祈求是大有功效的。以利亞是和我們同樣性質的人；他懇切禱告，求別下雨，雨就三年零六個月沒有下在地上。他又禱告，天就賜下雨水，地就產生果實來。

希西家王和亞摩斯的兒子神言人以賽亞因此就禱告，向天哀呼。

『你呢、也不要為這人民祈禱，不要為他們舉喊求或禱告聲，不要向我為他們代求，因為我不聽你。

現在你們要取七隻公牛、七隻公綿羊、到我僕人約伯那裏，為你們自己獻上燔祭；我僕人約伯就要為你們祈禱；因為我不按你們的冥頑不靈來辦你們，是看他的情面的；因為你們議論到我、不如我僕人約伯說的正確。』於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法就去，照永恆主所吩咐他們的去行；永恆主就看了約伯的情面。

永恆主對我說：『就使有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前來代求，我的心也不向着這人民。從我面前給打發走，叫他們出去！

我在他們中間要找一個人來修造藩籬，在我面前為這國站在破口之處，使我不毁滅這國，卻找不着一個。

即使有這三人在那中間，主永恆主發神諭說；我指着永活的我來起誓，他們也必不能援救他們的兒女，只有他們自己能得救援。或者我打發瘟疫去流行那地，使我那叫人流血的烈怒傾倒在那上頭，好將人和牲口都從那裏剪除掉；即使有挪亞、但以理、約伯在那中間，主永恆主發神諭說，我指着永活的我來起誓，他們也必不能援救他們的兒女，乃只能因自己的義而援救自己的性命罷了。

對神言人耶利米說：『願你允准我們在你面前所懇求的，為我們這餘剩之民禱告永恆主你的上帝；因為我們由眾多餘剩到稀少，這是你親眼看見的；

如今試求上帝的情面、好讓他恩待我們吧！這不配的祭獻若出於你們的手，他哪能看得起你們的情面呢？萬軍之永恆主說。

亞伯拉罕禱告上帝，上帝就將亞比米勒和他妻子、以及他的眾婢妾都醫好，她們便能生育了。

那麼即使有挪亞、但以理、約伯、這三人在那中間，他們也只能因自己的義而援救自己的性命：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

他們將給了他們的公牛豫備好了，就呼求巴力的名，從早晨直到中午一直呼求說：『巴力啊，答應我們吧！』卻沒有聲音，也沒有答應的；他們直在所造的祭壇旁舞蹈跳躍。

萬一城中有五十個義人呢，你還真地要掃滅，也不為了其中五十個義人的緣故而饒了那地方麼？將義人同惡人一齊殺死，你這樣作麼！絕對不然！讓義人像惡人一樣麼！絕對不然！審判全地的主、難道不行公義麼？』永恆主說：『我若在所多瑪城中見有五十個義人，我就要因他們的緣故而饒了那全地方。』亞伯拉罕回答說：『我雖是塵土爐灰，還敢對主說話。萬一五十個義人缺了五個呢，你還要因為缺了五個就毁滅全城麼？』他說：『我若在那裏見有四十五個，我也不毁滅那城。』亞伯拉罕又對他說：『萬一在那裏只見有四十個呢？』他說：『因這四十個的緣故，我也不這樣作。』亞伯拉罕說：『求主不要發怒，容我再說一句：『假使在那裏只見有三十個呢？』他說：『我若在那裏見有三十個，我也不這樣作。』亞伯拉罕說：『我還敢對主說一句：假使在那裏只見有二十個呢？』他說：『因這二十個的緣故，我也不毁滅。』亞伯拉罕說：『求主不要發怒，容我再說一句：就只這一次：萬一在那裏只見有十個呢？』他說：『因這十個的緣故，我也不毁滅。』永恆主與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回自己地方去了。
