聽啊，在無草木的高處上聽到了聲音，是以色列人哭泣的懇求，因為他們歪曲了他們的路，忘記了永恆主他們的上帝。

今在荒邱、聞有人聲、乃以色列人哀哭祈求、因行邪道、忘其上帝耶和華、

爾曹背道、忘我耶和華、爾之上帝、今在童山、我聞哭聲、籲呼於上。

因為依着神的意思而憂愁，就生出沒有懊悔的悔改來，以致得救；但世俗的憂愁叫人死。

因你忘記拯救你的神，忘記那保護你的磐石；所以，你雖栽上佳美的樹苗，插上別樣的枝子，

摩押上到神廟和底本的丘壇去哭泣；它因尼波和米底巴哀號，各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剃淨。

他們要哭泣而來。我要照他們懇求的引導他們，使他們在河水旁行走正直的路，他們在其上必不致絆跌；因為我是以色列的父，以法蓮是我的長子。

你舉目向光禿的高地觀看，何處沒有你的淫行呢？你坐在道路旁等候，好像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏，你的淫行和邪惡使全地污穢了。

少女豈能忘記她的妝飾呢？新娘豈能忘記她的美衣呢？我的百姓卻在無數的日子裏忘記了我！

我聽見以法蓮為自己悲嘆說：『你管教我，我便受管教，我如未馴服的牛犢。求你使我回轉，我便回轉，因為你是耶和華－我的神。我背離以後就懊悔，受教以後就捶胸；我因擔當年輕時的凌辱就抱愧蒙羞。』以法蓮是我的愛子嗎？是我喜歡的孩子嗎？我每逢責備他，仍深顧念他。因此，我的心腸牽掛着他，我必要憐憫他。這是耶和華說的。

行正直路的，步步安穩；走彎曲道的，必致敗露。

你為何因所受的損傷哀號呢？你的痛苦無法醫治。我因你罪孽甚大，罪惡眾多，曾將這些加在你身上。因此，凡吞吃你的必被吞吃，你的敵人個個都被擄去；擄掠你的必成為擄物，我使搶奪你的成為掠物。我必使你痊癒，醫好你的傷痕，都因人稱你為被趕散的，這是錫安，是無人來探望的！這是耶和華說的。」

在那日、在那時，以色列人要和猶大人同來，隨走隨哭，尋求耶和華－他們的神。這是耶和華說的。他們要問到錫安之路，又面向那裏，說：「來吧，他們要在永不被遺忘的約中與耶和華聯合。」

「我要將那施恩與懇求的靈，澆灌大衛家和耶路撒冷的居民。他們必仰望我，就是他們所扎的那位。他們必為他悲傷，如喪獨子，又為他哀哭，如喪長子。那日，在耶路撒冷必有大大的哀號，如米吉多平原上哈達‧臨門的哀號。這地必哀哭：一家一家地哭，大衛家的家族聚在一處，他們的婦女聚在一處；拿單家的家族聚在一處，他們的婦女聚在一處。利未家的家族聚在一處，他們的婦女聚在一處；示每家的家族聚在一處，他們的婦女聚在一處。其餘的各家，每一家的家族聚在一處，他們的婦女聚在一處。」

主耶和華如此說：「因你忘記我，將我丟在背後，所以你要擔當你的淫行和淫蕩。」

人因愚昧自毀前途，他的心卻埋怨耶和華。

以色列忘記造他的主，建造宮殿，猶大增添許多堅固的城；我卻要降火在他的城鎮，吞滅其堡壘。

耶和華的使者對他說：「你為甚麼這三次打你的驢呢？看哪，我出來敵對你，因為這路在我面前已經偏離了。

他在人前歌唱說：『我犯了罪，顛倒是非，卻沒有受該得的報應。

當聽這話，雅各家的領袖，以色列家的官長啊！你們厭棄公平，在一切事上屈枉正直；

他們得到餵養，就飽足；既得飽足，就心高氣傲，因而忘記了我。

其中倖存的要逃脫，各人因自己的罪孽在山上發出悲聲，如谷中的鴿子哀鳴；
