在我叔之子哈拿篾、與書名於契之證人、及坐於獄院之諸猶大人目前、付於瑪西雅孫、尼利亞子巴錄、

and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

I gave Baruch the copies of the deed. My cousin Hanamel saw me do this. The witnesses who had signed the deed were there too. So were all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard. Baruch was the son of Neriah. Neriah was the son of Mahseiah.

And I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my cousin, in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, and in the presence of all the Judeans who were sitting in the court of the guard.

and I handed them to Baruch son of Neriah and grandson of Mahseiah. I did all this in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed, and all the men of Judah who were there in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle’s son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, in the sight of all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who were signing the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s[ son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

I took both copies of the deed of purchase and gave them to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah. I gave them to him in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed of purchase, and all the Judeans who were housed in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

『我將購買的契券交給了尼利亞的兒子巴錄以後，便禱告永恆主說：

猶大王西底家在位之第四年，王上巴比倫去的時候，瑪西雅的孫子尼利亞的兒子西萊雅和王一同去；（西萊雅是行宮總管）神言人耶利米有話吩咐他。

於是耶利米把尼利亞的兒子巴錄叫來；巴錄就由耶利米口傳將永恆主的一切話、就是他對耶利米所說的、都寫在書卷上。耶利米吩咐巴錄說：『我有阻礙、不能進永恆主的殿；

王竟吩咐王子耶拉篾、亞次列的兒子西萊雅、和亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅去捉拿祕書巴錄和神言人耶利米；然而永恆主卻將他們隱藏着。

他們聽見這一切話就震驚恐懼，彼此相對，向巴錄說：『我們必須將這一切話告訴王。』他們問巴錄說：『請告訴我們，你是怎樣寫了這一切話的？是由他口傳的麼？』巴錄對他們說：『他親口將這一切話念給我聽，我就用筆墨寫在書上。』首領們對巴錄說：『去哦，你和耶利米都要去藏起來；不要叫人知道你們在哪裏。』

於是耶利米另取了一卷，交給尼利亞的兒子祕書巴錄，巴錄就由耶利米口傳將猶大王約雅敬所燒於火中的書上一切話、都寫在那上頭，還把許多類似的話加在裏面。

只是尼利亞的兒子巴錄挑唆了你來害我們，要將我們交於迦勒底人手中，使他們得以殺死我們，使我們流亡到巴比倫去罷了。』於是加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將軍跟眾民都不聽從永恆主叫他們住在猶大地的話。加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將軍便帶領了猶大所有餘剩之民、就是從被放逐到的各國回來、住在猶大地的男人、婦人、幼童、和王的女兒們、跟護衛長尼布撒拉旦所留在沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利那裏的眾人和神言人耶利米、以及尼利亞的兒子巴錄；

神言人耶利米對尼利亞的兒子巴錄所說的話、是猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬四年、巴錄由耶利米口傳將這些話寫在書上時所聽到的；他說：『巴錄啊，永恆主以色列之上帝對你這麼說：你曾說過，「我有禍啊！永恆主將憂愁加在我的痛苦之上；我歎息得困乏了，總不得安寧。」如今永恆主這麼說：看吧，我所建立的我必傾覆；我所栽植的我必拔除；拔除全轄地。你為自己圖謀大事麼？不要圖謀；因為你看，永恆主發神諭說，我必使災禍臨到一切血肉之人；但你無論往甚麼地方去，我總要使你掠得你自己的性命。』

因為我們籌謀行為之美善，不但在主面前，也在人面前。
