The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

迦勒底人燒了上帝的殿，拆毁了耶路撒冷的城牆，用火燒了城裏所有的宮堡，將城裏所有寶貴的器皿都毁壞了。

我們一定要實行我們口中所說出的一切話：向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，按着我們和我們列祖、我們的王和首領在猶大城市和耶路撒冷街上素常所行的一樣；那時我們喫飽飯，享福樂，不見災禍呀。自從我們停止了向天后燻祭、澆奠祭，我們倒缺乏了一切，又因刀劍饑荒而滅絕了。』婦女們說：『我們向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，難道沒有我們丈夫的同意就作天后像的祭餅去供奉她，向她澆奠祭麼？』

萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：你們婦女們都口中說、手裏作成了說：「我們一定要實行我們所許的願：向天后燻祭，澆奠祭」！那麼只管立定你們許的願吧！只管實行你們許的願詞吧！

兒子們撿柴，父老們燒火，婦女們摶麵作祭餅，獻給天后，又向別的神澆奠祭，以惹我發怒。

王的宮殿和人民的房屋、迦勒底人都放火焚燒；耶路撒冷的城牆他們都拆毁了。

『永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：猶大王打發了你們來求問我，你們要對他這麼說：「看吧，法老的軍隊、那出來幫助你們的，必回埃及它本地去。迦勒底人必再來攻擊這城；將城攻取，放火焚燒。永恆主這麼說：你們不要自己欺騙自己說：『迦勒底人一定會離開我們』；他們是不離開的。就使你們擊敗了那攻擊你們的迦勒底人全軍，其中只剩下一些被刺重傷的人，他們也會各從自己的帳棚裏起來，放火焚燒這城的。」』

王就發怒，打發他的軍兵、去殺滅那些兇手，燒燬他們的城。

永恆主發盡了他的怒火，倒出了他的烈怒；他使火着起於錫安，燒燬了錫安的根基。

他把永恆主的殿和王的宮室都燒掉，又燒了耶路撒冷的一切房屋，連所有大幢的房屋都放火燒。

你的聖城已成了曠野，錫安已變為野地，耶路撒冷已成為荒涼之處了。我們那聖而榮美的殿、我們列祖頌讚你的所在、都給火燒了；我們所喜愛的盡都荒廢了。

『「『將來無論哪一國哪一邦不服事他，不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，不將脖子放在巴比倫王的軛下的，我必用刀劍、饑荒、和瘟疫、去察罰那國，永恆主發神諭說，直到把他們都交在巴比倫王手中。你們呢、可不要聽你們的神言人、占卜者、和作夢者、算命者、和行邪術者：他們告訴你們說：「你們必不至於服事巴比倫王。」因為他們向你們傳的神言是虛假，以致你們遷移、遠離你們的土地，以致我放逐你們，使你們滅亡。

但你們若不聽從我，不以安息之日為聖日，仍在安息之日挑擔子，進耶路撒冷的城門，那麼我就必在它的城門中點起火來；這火必燒燬耶路撒冷的宮堡，總不熄滅。」』
