For thus saith Jehovah: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

“因为耶和华如此说：大卫必永不断人坐在以色列家的宝座上；

“因为耶和华如此说：大卫家必永远不断有人坐在以色列家的宝座上；

“因为耶和华如此说：大卫家必永远不断有人坐在以色列家的宝座上；

因为耶和华说，‘我应许大卫的后裔必永远统治以色列，

因为耶和华这样说：‘大卫家必不断有人坐在以色列家的王位上。

「因為耶和華如此說：大衛必永不斷人坐在以色列家的寶座上；

「因為耶和華如此說：大衛家必永遠不斷有人坐在以色列家的寶座上；

「因為耶和華如此說：大衛家必永遠不斷有人坐在以色列家的寶座上；

因為耶和華說，『我應許大衛的後裔必永遠統治以色列，

因為耶和華這樣說：‘大衛家必不斷有人坐在以色列家的王位上。

『因為永恆主這麼說：大衛家總必不斷地會有人坐以色列家的王位；

蓋耶和華曰、大衛必永不乏人、居以色列家之位、

耶和華又曰、大闢必有後、踐以色列國位。

主如是云、大衛家永不乏人坐於國位、治理以色列族、

For this is what the Lord says:‘ David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel,

The Lord says,“ David will always have a son to sit on the throne of Israel.

“ For thus says the Lord: David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel,

For this is what the Lord says: David will have a descendant sitting on the throne of Israel forever.

“ For this is what the LORD says: David will never fail to have a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ David shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

“ For thus says the Lord:‘ David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

“ For this is what the Lord says: David will never fail to have a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.

For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

For I, the LORD, promise:“ David will never lack a successor to occupy the throne over the nation of Israel.

For Yahweh says:“ David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.

that Jehovah may establish his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee( said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.But my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.My covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.It shall be established for ever as the moon, And as the faithful witness in the sky.[ Selah

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

And it shall come to pass, when thy days are fulfilled that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will set up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my lovingkindness away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee;but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom for ever; and his throne shall be established for ever.

Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son: if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men;but my lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.And thy house and thy kingdom shall be made sure for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

and now it hath pleased thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Jehovah, hast blessed, and it is blessed for ever.

therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

let it fall upon the head of Joab, and upon all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth by the sword, or that lacketh bread.
