Instead, the king commanded Jerahmeel, a son of the king, Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet. But the Lord had hidden them.

And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son and Seraiah the son of Azriel and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to seize Baruch the secretary and Jeremiah the prophet, but the Lord hid them.

He also ordered Jerahmeel, who was one of the royal princes, Seraiah son of Azriel, and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. However, the LORD hid them.

曰、我因萬有之上帝耶和華、熱中特甚、以色列族背爾約、毀爾壇、殺爾先知、獨余留焉、又欲害我矣。

亞哈以以利亞殺其先知、及凡所為、告耶洗別。耶洗別遣人告以利亞曰、如於明日斯時、我不殺爾、若爾殺彼者、則願上帝降罰於我。以利亞聞此、則遁逃以保命、至猶大之別是巴、而留其僕。

全能至上之主、爰有密室、凡居之者、得蒙覆翼兮、

予臨患難兮、彼藏予於帷幕、匿余於密室、若處重巖兮。

適耶洗別欲殲滅耶和華諸先知、阿巴底匿先知百人於巖穴、每穴五十人、以水以餅為其養贍。

汝往哉、適彼東方、近約但之基立、隱於溪濱、

往居西頓之撒勒大、我命嫠婦供養爾。

我民宜入室闔門、暫匿其身、待患難之過、

作惡之人、廣樹黨援、爾其庇佑予兮、

自茲以後、或進或出、咸蒙耶和華眷佑、永世靡暨兮、

𠵽唎㘔人聞眾論如此、則與祭司諸長、遣吏執之、

彼得悟曰、主果遣使者、拯我出希律手、不遂猶太民之欲、我今誠知之矣、

言時、十二徒之一、猶大、偕眾以刃以梃、自祭司諸長、及民長老之所而來、賣師者遞以號曰、我接吻者是也、可執之、即就耶穌曰、夫子安、遂與接吻、耶穌曰、吾子何為至此、眾前、執耶穌、

予遘患難、爾範衛予、使我得救、故予謳歌而不禁。

祭司諸長𠵽唎㘔人出令、若知其所在、即明告以執之、

耶穌在殿教誨、庫前言此、以時未至、無人執之、

諸牧伯告巴錄曰、爾與耶利米宜遁於僻地、勿俾人知。

上帝兮、矜憫我躬、惟爾是賴、願爾覆翼、若鳥伏雛、以俟災患之潛消兮。

是以我遣先知、智人、士子就爾、殺者有之、釘十字架者有之、鞭於會堂者有之、在在窘逐者又有之、致流義人之血於地、罪皆歸爾、自義人亞伯之血、至巴拉家子撒加利亞、爾殺於殿壇間之血、我誠告爾、此事必歸斯世也、耶路撒冷乎、耶路撒冷乎、爾殺先知、石擊奉使者、我欲集爾赤子、似母鷄集雛翼下、已幾何時、惟爾不欲、

眾取石欲擊之、耶穌隱行眾中、出殿而去、

耶和華又曰、我使爾在民間、若金城之鞏固彼雖攻爾、必不能勝、蓋我左右爾、拯救爾、出爾於惡者暴者之手。

吾督責爾赤子、仍不受教、使我徒勞、惟爾手刃先知、若猛獅吞噬。

我指爾上帝耶和華而誓、無論何國、王遣人索爾、若云、不在者、則令民發誓、曰、求爾不得。今使我告於王曰、以利亞在此。我往之後、耶和華之神必感爾、使爾他往、不知何適、我既進告、彼索爾不得、則必殺我、然我自幼迄今、寅畏耶和華。

彼雖敵爾、必不能勝、蓋我耶和華左右爾、拯救爾。

耶利米告巴錄曰、我囚於獄、不能詣耶和華殿。

約雅金王、與諸方伯武士、既聞斯言、欲謀殺之、烏哩亞知之則懼、逃於埃及、約雅金王遣亞革破子利拿單、與從者數人、詣埃及、曳烏哩亞出、至約雅金王前、殺之、棄尸於賤者之墓。

敵既至、以利沙禱耶和華曰、請使此民、目眯不明。敵遂目眯、應以利沙所求。以利沙謂之曰、此非其途、此非其城、爾當從我、爾所求之人、我導爾至其地。遂導之至撒馬利亞。入城以利沙曰、願耶和華明斯眾之目、俾其得見。耶和華遂明其目、使得見、乃知在撒馬利亞邑中。
