以實瑪利將米斯巴剩下的人，就是眾公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓，原是護衛長尼布撒拉旦交給亞希甘的兒子基大利的，都擄去了。尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利擄了他們，要往亞捫人那裏去。

巴比倫王在利比拉、西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又殺了猶大的一切貴冑，

你若不出去歸降巴比倫王的首領，這城必交在迦勒底人手中。他們必用火焚燒，你也不得脫離他們的手。」

在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。

凡脫離刀劍的，迦勒底王都擄到巴比倫去，作他和他子孫的僕婢，直到波斯國興起來。這就應驗耶和華藉耶利米口所說的話：地享受安息；因為地土荒涼便守安息，直滿了七十年。

我就照這一切的話對猶大王西底家說：「要把你們的頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，服事他和他的百姓，便得存活。你和你的百姓為何要因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫死亡，正如耶和華論到不服事巴比倫王的那國說的話呢？

其狀如從前他來滅城的時候我所見的異象，那異象如我在迦巴魯河邊所見的異象，我就俯伏在地。

先知若被迷惑說一句預言，是我－耶和華任那先知受迷惑，我也必向他伸手，將他從我民以色列中除滅。

迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到在哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王便審判他。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又在利比拉殺了猶大的一切首領，並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十日，在巴比倫王面前侍立的護衛長尼布撒拉旦進入耶路撒冷，用火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，又焚燒耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大戶家的房屋。
