西底家王说：“他在你们手中，无论何事，王也不能与你们反对。”

西底迦王说：“你们可以随意处置他，我不会阻止你们。”

西底家王说：“看哪！他在你们手中；王不能作什么反对你们。”

西底家王曰、權操諸爾、王莫能禦焉。

西底家王曰、斯人在爾手中、王毫不能禁爾、

“ He is in your hands,” King Zedekiah answered.“ The king can do nothing to oppose you.”

“ He’s in your hands,” King Zedekiah answered.“ I can’t do anything to oppose you.”

King Zedekiah said,“ Behold, he is in your hands, for the king can do nothing against you.”

King Zedekiah agreed.“ All right,” he said.“ Do as you like. I can’t stop you.”

King Zedekiah said,“ Here he is; he’s in your hands since the king can’t do anything against you.”

And King Zedekiah said,“ Behold, he is in your hands; for the king can do nothing against you.”

Then Zedekiah the king said,“ Look, he is in your hand. For the king can do nothing against you.”

And Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand; for the king is not he that can do anything against you.

King Zedekiah said,“ Here he is; he’s in your hands since the king can’t do anything against you.”

Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he[ is] in your hand: for the king[ is] not[ he that] can do[ any] thing against you.

King Zedekiah said to them,“ Very well, you can do what you want with him. For I cannot do anything to stop you.”

Zedekiah the king said,“ Behold, he is in your hand; for the king can’t do anything to oppose you.”

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!” (niv)

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. (niv)

David replied,“ What does this have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? What right do you have to interfere? Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? Don’t I know that today I am king over Israel?” (niv)

Achish answered,“ I know that you have been as pleasing in my eyes as an angel of God; nevertheless, the Philistine commanders have said,‘ He must not go up with us into battle.’ (niv)

Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. (niv)

From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting,“ If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon.“ Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.But they shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”“ Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.“ We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. (niv)
