When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled; they left the city at night by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls, and headed toward the Arabah.

King Zedekiah and all the soldiers saw them. Then they ran away. They left the city at night. They went by way of the king’s garden. They went out through the gate between the two walls. And they headed toward the Arabah Valley.

When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled, going out of the city at night by way of the king’s garden through the gate between the two walls; and they went toward the Arabah.

When King Zedekiah of Judah and all the soldiers saw that the Babylonians had broken into the city, they fled. They waited for nightfall and then slipped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden and headed toward the Jordan Valley.

When Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went out of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah.

所有傾圮城垣、盡力修築、高與城樓相等、城外又築城、修固大衛城之米羅、多備鋒刃干盾、

疾趨者不得脫逃、強壯者不得施力、英武者英武者或作勇士不能自救、

主必使爾為敵所敗、爾由一途出以攻敵、必由七途逃於其前、必受天下萬國之凌辱、

爾中遺民、居於敵國、我使之心驚膽怯、聞風吹葉、亦必逃遁、以為有敵人恃刃逐之、雖無人追襲、亦必傾跌、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、迦勒底軍追王、在耶利歌平原及之、王之眾軍、離之四散、迦勒底人執王、解至利比拉、巴比倫王前、遂審鞫之、乃屠戮西底家諸子於西底家目前、抉西底家之二目、繫以銅索、攜至巴比倫、

於是城破、迦勒底人在城四圍、王與諸戰士由近王園兩城中之門、夜間出城而遁、望平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、迦勒底軍追王、在耶利歌之平原及之、王之眾軍、離之四散、迦勒底人執王、解至哈末地之利比拉、巴比倫王前、遂審鞫之、巴比倫王屠戮西底家諸子於西底家目前、又在利比拉屠戮猶大諸牧伯、抉西底家之兩目、繫以銅索、攜至巴比倫、囚之於獄、至於死日、

主天主即以色列之聖主曾如是云、爾悔改安居、方可得救、靜默仰望、方可強盛、惟爾不欲、爾云、不然、我必乘馬以奔馳、故爾必致奔逃、爾又云、必乘迅速之牲畜、故逐爾者亦必迅速、

我必向爾震怒、使爾敗於敵前、憾爾者必轄爾、雖無人追襲、爾亦必逃遁、

如爾不出邑見巴比倫王之將帥、斯邑必付於迦勒底人之手、必焚之以火、爾亦不能脫於其手、西底家王謂耶利米曰、有猶大人已降迦勒底人、我恐迦勒底人付我於彼之手、使彼凌辱我、耶利米曰、必不付爾、凡主之言、我所述於爾者、爾其聽從、則獲大益、得保全生命、

其中之君、必荷物於肩、昏暮而出、人將掘墻以導之出、彼必蒙面、致目不見地、

使其受饑而體瘦、見消於熱疫毒癘、使野獸之齒害之、腹行者之毒傷之、少男幼女、嬰孩老叟、外遭鋒刃、內受驚惶、我云將彼散之四方、使其名號滅於人間、第恐仇人使我忿懥、或作第恐仇人狂怒恐其敵人不認根由、恐敵自謂己手力大、謂此諸事非主所行、斯民失謀、毫無聰明、願其有智以明此、預思厥終、非其天主鬻之、非耶和華付之、一人焉能驅千、二人焉能敗萬、
