約四萬人、預備以戰、濟河至耶利哥平原、循耶和華命。○

人將曳爾妻子、見迦勒底人、爾亦不能脫其手、必為巴比倫王所獲、斯邑必焚以火、皆爾自取。

咸至哈末之立拉、見巴比倫王、巴比倫王殺之、猶大族被虜之事如此。

不然迦勒底人必焚此城、爾亦不能脫於其手。

以色列族被虜、亞述王使人自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈末、西法瓦音、至撒馬利亞諸邑、據其地、居其城、

基巴勒地、遍利巴嫩之東、自黑門山麓之巴力伽得、至哈末之道。

昔哈末王陀以與哈大底泄戰、今聞大闢已擊其軍旅、則遣子約蘭攜金銀銅器、往見大闢王、慶賀而祝之。

執之、解至立拉、見巴比倫王、王斷其事、

耶和華所沐以膏、我所賴以得生、至異邦中、望其庇蔭者、今陷於坎阱兮。

故使亞述王軍長攻之、執馬拿西、擊以鐵索、解至巴比倫、

猶大被虜、服役維艱、居於異邦、未獲安康兮、災厄已臨、敵人追襲兮。

其人遂往窺地、自汛野至哩哈、近哈馬之道。

乃王子背巴比倫王約、遣使至埃及、欲其率軍馬以至、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、爽約之人、豈能獲救。我耶和華指己而誓、王子既為巴比倫王所立、藐視其主、爽其盟約、則必至巴比倫而沒、敵既築壘建營、欲滅邑眾、法老雖率旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、蓋王子於立約之後、不以盟誓為重、而爽其約、故不能免難。主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、罹之以網羅、陷之以坎阱、曳至巴比倫、在彼降災、以罰其罪、彼及流亡之眾、爰及軍旅、必殞於刃、遺民星散、使知我耶和華已言之矣。
