是時必告斯民、與耶路撒冷曰、炎熇之風、來自曠野之荒邱、向我民女而吹、非為簸之、非為潔之、

耶和華曰、我將判擬耶路撒冷居民告之曰、我必使災熇之風、來自曠野童山、較簸揚禾穀之風尤大、以擊斯邦之民。

當是時必告斯民及耶路撒冷人曰、炎熇之風、自曠野童山向我民而吹、非為簸揚、非為潔禾、

看哪，葡萄樹雖然栽種了，豈能發旺呢？一經東風擊打，豈不全然枯乾了嗎？它必在生長的苗圃中枯乾了。」

他在弟兄中雖然旺盛，卻有東風颳來，就是耶和華的風從曠野上來。他的泉源必乾涸，他的源頭必枯竭，這風必奪走他所積蓄的一切寶物。

你要向他們說這些話：願我眼淚汪汪，晝夜不息，因為少女－我百姓受了重大的打擊，傷口極其嚴重。

但願我的頭為水，我的眼為淚水的泉源，我好為我百姓中被殺的人晝夜哭泣。

我們都如不潔淨的人，所行的義都像污穢的衣服。我們如葉子漸漸枯乾，罪孽像風把我們吹走。

看哪！耶和華的暴風在震怒中發出，是旋轉的暴風，必轉到惡人頭上。

看哪，耶和華的憤怒如暴風已經發出；是掃滅的暴風，必轉到惡人的頭上。耶和華的烈怒必不轉消，直到他心中所定的成就了，實現了；末後的日子你們就會明白。

聽啊，是我百姓呼救的聲音從遠地傳來：「耶和華不是在錫安嗎？錫安的王不是在其中嗎？」「他們為甚麼以自己雕刻的偶像和外邦虛無的神明惹我發怒呢？」

我的眼睛流淚，以致失明；我的心腸煩亂，肝膽落地，都因我的百姓遭毀滅，又因孩童和吃奶的在城內的廣場上昏厥。

耶和華如此說：看哪，我必颳起毀滅的風，攻擊巴比倫和住在立加米的人。我要差陌生人來到巴比倫，他們要簸揚它，使它的地空無一物。在它遭禍的日子，他們要四圍攻擊它。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的婦人反倒殘忍，如曠野的鴕鳥一般；

你驅趕他們，放逐他們，與他們相爭。在颳東風的日子，他以暴風趕逐他們。

你要簸揚它們，風要將它們吹去；旋風要颳散它們。你卻要以耶和華為喜樂，因以色列的聖者誇耀。

所以萬軍之耶和華如此說：「看哪，我要熬煉他們，考驗他們；不然，為了我的百姓，我該如何行呢？

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

但在烈怒中它被拔出，摔在地上；東風吹乾其果子，那堅固的枝幹因折斷而枯乾，被火燒燬；

因我百姓遭毀滅，我的眼睛淚流成河。

我百姓的罪孽比所多瑪的罪還大；所多瑪雖無人伸手攻擊，轉眼之間就被傾覆。

因此，他們必如早晨的雲霧，又如速散的露水，如被狂風吹離禾場的糠粃，又如煙囪冒出的煙。

當我百姓遭毀滅的時候，慈心的婦人親手烹煮自己的兒女為食物。

因此我說：「不要看我，讓我痛哭吧！不要因我百姓的毀滅竭力安慰我。」
