良田荒蕪、城邑傾圮、蓋耶和華涖臨、其怒殊烈。

I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

I looked. And the fruitful land had become a desert. All its towns were destroyed. The Lord had done all this because of his great anger.

I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

所以因你們的緣故，錫安必被耕種像一塊田，耶路撒冷必變為亂堆；這殿的山必像叢林的高處。

我耳聞萬軍之耶和華說：必有許多又大又美的房屋成為荒涼，無人居住。三十畝葡萄園只出一罷特酒；一賀梅珥穀種只結一伊法糧食。

「那時，主必用大河外賃的剃頭刀，就是亞述王，剃去頭髮和腳上的毛，並要剃淨鬍鬚。「那時，一個人要養活一隻母牛犢，兩隻母綿羊；因為出的奶多，他就得吃奶油，在境內所剩的人都要吃奶油與蜂蜜。「從前，凡種一千棵葡萄樹、值銀一千舍客勒的地方，到那時必長荊棘和蒺藜。人上那裏去，必帶弓箭，因為遍地滿了荊棘和蒺藜。所有用鋤刨挖的山地，你因怕荊棘和蒺藜，不敢上那裏去；只可成了放牛之處，為羊踐踏之地。」

又看見遍地有硫磺，有鹽鹵，有火跡，沒有耕種，沒有出產，連草都不生長－好像耶和華在忿怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣－所看見的人，連萬國人，都必問說：『耶和華為何向此地這樣行呢？這樣大發烈怒是甚麼意思呢？』人必回答說：『是因這地的人離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的神，領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約，去事奉敬拜素不認識的別神，是耶和華所未曾給他們安排的。所以耶和華的怒氣向這地發作，將這書上所寫的一切咒詛都降在這地上。耶和華在怒氣、忿怒、大惱恨中將他們從本地拔出來，扔在別的地上，像今日一樣。』

猶大悲哀，城門衰敗。眾人披上黑衣坐在地上；耶路撒冷的哀聲上達。他們的貴冑打發家僮打水；他們來到水池，見沒有水，就拿着空器皿，蒙羞慚愧，抱頭而回。耕地的也蒙羞抱頭；因為無雨降在地上，地都乾裂。田野的母鹿生下小鹿，就撇棄，因為無草。野驢站在淨光的高處，喘氣好像野狗；因為無草，眼目失明。

惟獨你是可畏的！你怒氣一發，誰能在你面前站得住呢？

這地悲哀，通國的青草枯乾，要到幾時呢？因其上居民的惡行，牲畜和飛鳥都滅絕了。他們曾說：他看不見我們的結局。
