“ God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Therefore the land will mourn; And everyone who dwells there will waste away With the beasts of the field And the birds of the air; Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.

In that day they will roar against them Like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks to the land, Behold, darkness and sorrow; And the light is darkened by the clouds.

“ And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

“ Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you.

having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

For the land is full of adulterers; For because of a curse the land mourns. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, And their might is not right.

They have made it desolate; Desolate, it mourns to Me; The whole land is made desolate, Because no one takes it to heart.

The highways lie waste, The traveling man ceases. He has broken the covenant, He has despised the cities, He regards no man.The earth mourns and languishes, Lebanon is shamed and shriveled; Sharon is like a wilderness, And Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.

Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

The anger of the Lord will not turn back Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly.

Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying,‘ My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.

The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying,“ Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand:That I will break the Assyrian in My land, And on My mountains tread him underfoot. Then his yoke shall be removed from them, And his burden removed from their shoulders.This is the purpose that is purposed against the whole earth, And this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.For the Lord of hosts has purposed, And who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, And who will turn it back?”

The earth mourns and fades away, The world languishes and fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

“ I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.”

I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void; And the heavens, they had no light.I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth.I beheld, and indeed there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled.I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were broken down At the presence of the Lord, By His fierce anger.

Then the Lord said to me,“ Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My mind would not be favorable toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth.And it shall be, if they say to you,‘ Where should we go?’ then you shall tell them,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Such as are for death, to death; And such as are for the sword, to the sword; And such as are for the famine, to the famine; And such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.”’“ And I will appoint over them four forms of destruction,” says the Lord:“ the sword to slay, the dogs to drag, the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.I will hand them over to trouble, to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.“ For who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Or who will bemoan you? Or who will turn aside to ask how you are doing?You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,“ You have gone backward. Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you; I am weary of relenting!And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children; I will destroy My people, Since they do not return from their ways.Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas; I will bring against them, Against the mother of the young men, A plunderer at noonday; I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly.“ She languishes who has borne seven; She has breathed her last; Her sun has gone down While it was yet day; She has been ashamed and confounded. And the remnant of them I will deliver to the sword Before their enemies,” says the Lord.

Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

“ Judah mourns, And her gates languish; They mourn for the land, And the cry of Jerusalem has gone up.

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

The field is wasted, The land mourns; For the grain is ruined, The new wine is dried up, The oil fails.

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”

( for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:“ The Lord has sworn And will not relent,‘ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek’”),

Then the Lord said to me,“ Do not pray for this people, for their good.When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.”

Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.

The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it, And until He has performed the intents of His heart. In the latter days you will consider it.

All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; All their host shall fall down As the leaf falls from the vine, And as fruit falling from a fig tree.
