and said to him,“ Don’t you know that Baalis king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah son of Ahikam did not believe them.

The officers spoke to Gedaliah. They said,“ Don’t you know that Baalis has sent someone to take your life? Baalis is the king of Ammon. He has sent Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah.” But Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, didn’t believe them.

and said to him,“ Do you know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam would not believe them.

They said to him,“ Did you know that Baalis, king of Ammon, has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to assassinate you?” But Gedaliah refused to believe them.

and warned him,“ Don’t you realize that Baalis, king of the Ammonites, has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to kill you?” But Gedaliah son of Ahikam would not believe them.

and said to him,“ Are you well aware that Baalis the king of the sons of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam did not believe them.

and said to him,“ Do you certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to murder you?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam did not believe them.

and said unto him, Dost thou know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take thy life? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

They said to him,“ Are you at all aware that King Baalis of Ammon has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to kill you?” But Gedaliah son of Ahikam would not believe them.

and said to him,“ Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.

亞捫人拿轄率軍上來圍困基列·雅比，城內的居民對拿轄說：「你與我們立約吧！我們願意服從你。」亞捫人拿轄說：「好，但有一個條件，我要挖去你們每一個人的右眼作為對全體以色列人的羞辱。」雅比的長老說：「請寬限我們七天，我們好派遣使者去以色列全境。要是沒有人來營救我們，我們就向你投降。」

不輕浮無禮；不自私自利，不輕易動怒，不懷怨記恨；不喜愛不義，只喜愛真理。凡事能包容，凡事有信心，凡事有盼望，凡事能忍耐。

你恩待惡人，但他們仍然不學習行義。即使在公義之地，他們依然作惡，全不把耶和華的威嚴放在眼裡。

便來到米斯巴見基大利。他們是尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利、加利亞的兒子約哈難和約拿單、單戶篾的兒子西萊雅、尼陀法人以斐的兒子們、瑪迦人耶撒尼亞及他們的屬下。

不要相信鄰居，不要信賴朋友，即使對你懷中的妻子也要守口如瓶。

耶和華說：「亞捫人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回對他們的懲罰，因為他們為了擴張領土，竟剖開基列孕婦的肚腹。所以，我要在戰爭的吶喊聲中，在暴風雨吹襲的時候，降火在拉巴的城牆上，燒毀它的城堡。他們的君王和首領都要被擄。這是耶和華說的。」

論到亞捫人，耶和華說：「難道以色列沒有子孫，沒有繼承人嗎？為什麼祭拜米勒公的人佔據了迦得，住在城邑中？」耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要使亞捫人的拉巴城外響起戰爭的呐喊。拉巴必淪為廢墟，它周圍的鄉村都要被焚燒，以色列人必收復失地。這是耶和華說的。「希實本啊，哀哭吧！因為艾城毀滅了。拉巴的居民啊，痛哭吧！披上麻衣悲傷地在城牆內跑來跑去吧！因為米勒公及其祭司和官長都要被擄走。背叛的人民啊，你們為肥沃的山谷而感到自豪嗎？你們依仗財富以為無人敢來侵犯。」上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：「看啊，我要使你們四面受敵，驚恐萬狀，四散奔逃，潰不成軍。然而，日後我要使被擄的亞捫人重建家園。這是耶和華說的。」

火熱的嘴，邪惡的心，猶如瓦器鍍了層銀。怨恨人的用美言掩飾自己，心中卻藏著詭詐。縱然他甜言蜜語，你也不可信他，因為他心中充滿各種可憎之事。雖然他用詭計掩飾怨恨，他的邪惡必被會眾揭穿。

「人子啊，你要面向亞捫人，說預言斥責他們，告訴他們要聽主耶和華的話。主耶和華說，『當我的聖所被褻瀆，以色列變得荒涼，猶大人被擄的時候，你們竟然哈哈而樂。所以我要使東方人侵佔你們的地方。他們必在你們的土地上安營紮寨，吃你們出產的果子，喝你們牛羊的奶。我要使拉巴成為駱駝的草場，使亞捫人的土地變成羊群歇息之處，這樣你們便知道我是耶和華。「主耶和華說，『你們看到以色列的災禍，便幸災樂禍，手舞足蹈。
