火热的嘴唇，邪恶的心，好像银渣包在瓦器上。仇敌用嘴唇掩饰，心里却藏着诡诈；他用甜言蜜语，你不能相信他，因为他心中有七样可憎恶的事。他虽用诡诈掩饰怨恨，他的邪恶必在集会中显露。

对他说：“亚扪人的王巴利斯派尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来谋害你的命，你知道吗？”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不相信他们的话。加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说：“求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他害你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩余的人都灭亡呢？”亚希甘的儿子基大利对加利亚的儿子约哈难说：“你不可做这事，你所论以实玛利的话是假的。”

七月中，王室后裔以利沙玛的孙子，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利带着十个人来，击杀了基大利和同他在米斯巴的犹大人与迦勒底人，把他们杀死。

骄傲挑启纷争；听劝言却有智慧。

耶稣还在说话的时候，来了一群人。十二使徒之一名叫犹大的，走在前头，接近耶稣，要亲他。耶稣对他说：“犹大，你用亲吻来出卖人子吗？”

他们向我以恶报善，以恨报爱。

愤怒为残忍，怒气像狂澜，惟有嫉妒，谁能挡得住呢？

押尼珥回到希伯仑，约押领他到城门中间，要与他私下交谈，就在那里刺穿了他的肚腹。他就死了，因为他流了约押兄弟亚撒黑的血。
